Wash: Well, I wash my hands of it. It's a hopeless case. I'll read a nice poem at the funeral. Something with imagery. Zoe: You could lock the door and keep the power-hungry maniac at bay. Wash: Oh, no, I'm starting to like this poetry idea now. Here lies my beloved Zoe, my autumn flower, somewhat less attractive now she's all corpsified and gross...

Buffy and Angel 1: BUFFYNANGLE4EVA!!!!!1!

Is it better the second time around? Or the third? Or tenth? This is the place to come when you have a burning desire to talk about an old episode that was just re-run.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

So the rumors that Joss was pissed at Charisma for not telling him she was pregnant and made her evil and killed her or whatever the story is are...a distortion of the truth?

She was almost written out of the show because her drug abuse (Cocaine, I think) was out of control. That's why she ascended.

I think I remember reading something a while ago about how she had to go to rehab, which is why season four was largely improvised.

That was (allegedly) earlier. Season 4 is when she was pregnant.

And I should note that, if it was true, the issue wasn't like, heroin or something. But I ran across some rumors before her brief absence in S3, which made me go, "Huh, maybe that wasn't just trolling." [shrug]

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

Hm! And, now that I Google a bit, the pregnancy thing is supposedly why she was fired after season four. I am confusing all my rumors and hearsay.

Well so are we, or maybe just me? That's what rumors are for. What I'd heard was more like a pill problem, but I dunno.

I do agree that the ascension was a trapdoor in case she needed to stay gone. And then they planned to bring her back... and then she got pregnant. Cue the sad trombone.

What I'd heard was more like a pill problem

Oh, that sounds plausible.

A dress should be tight enough to show you're a woman but loose enough to flee from zombies. — Ginger

I heard that she was also a major stoner on set. Anecdotally, via a Buffista, but I read a lot of various sources about other unprofessional, divaesque behavior back in the day.

I seem to recall this question coming up at the time, but here's a legal analysis -- Can Angel be the CEO of the law firm Wolfram & Hart if he's not a lawyer?
