And I wonder, what possible catastrophe came crashing down from heaven and brought this dashing stranger to tears?

Drusilla ,'Conversations with Dead People'

Buffy and Angel 1: BUFFYNANGLE4EVA!!!!!1!

Is it better the second time around? Or the third? Or tenth? This is the place to come when you have a burning desire to talk about an old episode that was just re-run.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

I like Spiral, but I boggle every time Mark mentions Elizabeth Rohm's amazing range and how much he adores her character on Angel.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

Ditto.

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

I hated Spiral, being a rewrite participant, but yes, it wasn't the plot issues so much as the characterization and dialogue.

"We are the Goon Squad and we're coming to town...Beep! Beep!" - David Bowie, "Fashion"

Well, compared to Law and Order...yeah, she had an actual range.

"And to be clear, I am the hell. And the high water."

is it because she's a lesbian?

"I remember when they eventually introduced that drug kingpin who murdered people and smuggled drugs inside snakes and I was like 'Finally. A normal person.'” —RahvinDragand

I liked Rohm as Kate. She wasn't a standout the way Charisma and Stephanie Romanov were, but I would not have guessed from her work on Angel that she would end up being one of the most reviled actresses on TV.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

She couldn't tweet because she had a baby? What the fuck is that? She's not a rookie. She's done this before.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

Whatever - I tweeted WHILE I was having a baby. C'mon Alyson, why so lazy?

I know my own heart and understand my fellow man. But I am made unlike anyone I have ever met. I dare to say I am like no one in the whole world. - Anne Lister

Just read Mark's write up of New Moon Rising, one of my favorite episodes, and it had me bawling just like I do every time I watch that ep. NMR is just so true and painful and beautifully done. And it aired not too long after my own leaving-boyfriend-for-lesbian-gay-type lover story, hence the tears and over-identification. It is so gratifying to read another gay person's take on it rather than the typical "Willo&Oz4evah" comments.
