Can't drink, smoke, diddle my willy. Doesn't leave much to do other than watch you blokes stumble around playing Agatha Christie.

Spike ,'The Cautionary Tale of Numero Cinco'

Buffy and Angel 1: BUFFYNANGLE4EVA!!!!!1!

Is it better the second time around? Or the third? Or tenth? This is the place to come when you have a burning desire to talk about an old episode that was just re-run.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

Mark started refering to Wolfram & Hart as Wolfram & Heart today for some reason. Which is weird because he spelled it right in the past.

Always Anti-fascist!

(Olbermann Voice) Look, everybody, Mark made a funny.(/Olbermann voice) I can't say I get the joke, though. Points for effort?

Was it a joke? If it was I don't get it either.

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

I think it was just a typo.

I was thinking that, but it was done more than once in the review, so maybe auto correct?

To understand what happened at the diner, we shall use Mr. Papaya! This is upsetting because he's the friendliest of fruits.

Yeah. But nearly everyone gets Wolfram & Hart wrong, so I wouldn't think much of it.

Also, things I never realized until I started following Mark Watches: Dealing With Your Ex is a major theme of Buffy Season 4; Angel Season 1. Huh.

this mess was yours / now your mess is mine

So Mark got up to "Blind Date" on Angel, and exclaimed that Holland Manners is Bernard from Lost! Which made me laugh, because my reaction when I watched Lost was the opposite -- "Aaaaaaah! It's Holland! Eeeeeevil!"

Also, Mark's reviews of Buffy S4 got me re-watching the back half of S4 this week (my back is acting up horribly, so I've been lying down a LOT; thank you, laptop with a DVD player). And, honestly, I like Riley. I always did. S4 was my introduction to Buffy, though, and that may have influenced me. But really, I just like him. I don't like what happened with him in S5, but I really liked him in S4.

Also? "New Moon Rising"? On re-watch, it just ripped my poor heart in two. I love Willow and Oz SO MUCH. (Over-identify much, Teppy?) But then I love Willow and Tara. The episode just kills me. I hate to see Oz come back but then leave again. But I love Willow with Tara. TORN IN TWO, I am.

"...and then Legolas and the Hulk destroy the entire Greek army." - Penny Arcade

Is he going to do both "Restless" and "Shanshu" on Monday? That should be entertaining.

Because books.

I always liked Riley a lot. I think they screwed up his plotline there at the end, though, too.

"We are the Goon Squad and we're coming to town...Beep! Beep!" - David Bowie, "Fashion"

I always liked Riley a lot. I think they screwed up his plotline there at the end, though, too.

Again, I submit that it should have been Riley who was the Glory host and that his chip was blocking it, so the removal at the end of season 4 would have been the reason she came back. Ben should have been a red herring.

Giles smothering Riley would have been the HSQ of all time.
