It's interesting seeing how some people are picking up on Willow's predilection towards using magic instead of facing emotional consequences.
It's something that's really become apparent this time around, for me. I don't know whether I really noticed it before, but it starts really early on, and it's incredibly consistent. Season six was just waiting to happen the whole time. (It makes it more annoying that they went the MAGICRACK route when all the character development was right there. That could have been executed better.)
Hm. Wash is the Xander of
Firefly
and Topher is the Xander of
Dollhouse,
but who's the Xander of
Angel
? I guess it would have been Doyle, but who fits the wisecracking Joss-insert role otherwise?
Wait, is Cordy the Xander? Because that's amusing.

Cordy is the Cordy - the Brutal Truth Teller. When she leaves, Spike becomes the Cordy.
Okay, then who's the Awkward Comic Relief Guy?
Wesley. At least for a while.
I think it would have been Doyle, but...
Wesley had a touch of Xander, but since AtS was noir-y, and since he also played the Bumbling-Scholar-Who-Becomes-Fairly-Badass, he was never a full-on Xander.
I vote the millionaire D&D player whose name eludes me.
Sometimes Angel was Awkward Comic Relief Guy, which was always awkward.
