There are some commenters who really despise Xander for being true to form for a teenaged boy. Have they never known teenaged boys?
Buffy and Angel 1: BUFFYNANGLE4EVA!!!!!1!
Is it better the second time around? Or the third? Or tenth? This is the place to come when you have a burning desire to talk about an old episode that was just re-run.
Rose Madder the Stephen King novel, Plei?
Maybe they do know teenaged boys and that's why they hate them. True to life doesn't ensure likeability.
I like it when authors take risks like that
Did you ever listen to the bit of the audio I emailed? I feel bad because you can't really drop into the middle and follow the story, but in the course of the series you can see (well, hear) him playing with the format. The first couple are pretty traditional, and then the scope expands, and there are experiments with narration, and the last one makes Memento look straightforward.
Warning, Mark just posted on Graduation Day, and it's another capslock-fest.

Usually Mark's love of capslocks doesn't bother me, but that much bold capslock should be illegal.
Which is why I enjoyed this part:
Can I also just say how nice it is to have Anya be around? I'm really fascinated by her character, so much so that I don't need to all-caps yell anything at you.
I hope he enjoyed it, because I seriously can't read Wall Of ASSCAPS. That's why most people don't use all caps. It's ungoddamnreadable.
t edit I'm annoyed because I like Mark, I like reading his stuff. But he deliberately makes his site user-UNfriendly when he does this. Which, obvs., is his right.
He has ALL THE FEELS.
Which I kind of dig. Sometimes it seem overwrought, but I really love S3 so much that I'm cool with all his feels. I share them. But if everything is all-caps, then (aside from it being unreadable) NOTHING has any emphasis.
(See what I did there?)
I think I stopped reading A Prayer for Owen Meany because of the ASSCAPS. I just cannot abide.
