Good luck. Try not to kill people. Hands! Hands!

Buffy and Angel 1: BUFFYNANGLE4EVA!!!!!1!

Is it better the second time around? Or the third? Or tenth? This is the place to come when you have a burning desire to talk about an old episode that was just re-run.

And none of us deserving the cruelty or the grace -- Leonard Cohen

I'm up to S4 now, and I think I'm going to rewatch S1 Angel, too.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

From Mark Watches Buffy Reptile Boy:

If anything, I’d say that Buffy’s ready to face anything at this point.

Ha! He has no idea what this season is going to bring for her, does he?

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

Not a DAMN clue. It will be glorious. I mean, neither did I when I first watched it either.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

The nice thing is he's about to hit a stretch of about six episodes that are all really good:

Halloween("Who is that girl?")
Lie to Me (my fav from the first half of S2)
The Dark Ages (Ripper backstory!)
What's My Line - Parts 1 and 2 (Spike and Drusilla galore)

Then "Bad Eggs."

But then...Dunt Dunt DUNNNNN.

Surprise and Innocence.

And on the back half of S2 the only even really mediocre eps are Killed by Death and Go Fish.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

He likes Cordelia so much and dislikes Xander so much that I'm interested to see what his reaction is going to be when they get together.

He doesn't dislike Xander nearly as much as some of the commentors who hate him like WHOA.

I don't read comments, but when he was pissed that Xander would hit on the Inca Mummy Girl, I think his hate for Xander wandered into the irrational territory. He's going to totally lose it at, "kick his ass", isn't he?

"Xander lied!" is the first great Buffy schism.

Not like the Kittens and "Seeing Red" but it's still a hot point.

"Oh no! Has falling sky liquid once again caused you the sadness?" -Starfire

Oh god, I don't even want to think about the comments that episode is going to get.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I got slammed as a crazy Bangel shipper because those are the only people who think Xander shouldn't have lied. I love neat and tidy packages.

Halloo. Spuffy, all the way.
