I spent my entire evening tonight reading all of the Mark Watches Buffy entries that have been posted so far. I have never read any of the Mark posts before, but I absolutely loved them. I'm sort of jealous because I watched Buffy all sorts of out of order except for season 6 and 7, so I never really got the same watching experience of not knowing what was going to happen next in the first few season. I don't agree with everything he says, but I totally adore his posts and love reading his predictions. Some of them are so spot on.
Buffy and Angel 1: BUFFYNANGLE4EVA!!!!!1!
Is it better the second time around? Or the third? Or tenth? This is the place to come when you have a burning desire to talk about an old episode that was just re-run.
Go back and read Mark Reads Harry Potter, SJ. You'll love that too.
I love Mark Reads The Hunger Games trilogy and Pullman's His Dark Materials.
Hec, I'm going to go back and read everything that he has posted about that I have either read or watched, but not tonight. Because tonight I have already proven that I cannot start reading his posts without finishing all of them, and it's bedtime.
Buffy S9 (comics) is set in San Francisco. (great cover)
I've read a couple of reviews that say S9 is pretty good. I've not read any, though, so I don't know if that's true.
I got 3/4 of the way through Season 8 and life and lack of money got in the way. I HAVE to get back on track...
Also, I am having great fun reading Mark Watches...for the Buffython.
From Mark watches wrt Cordelia: "That is a smart choice for this show because I’d call bullshit if she suddenly became nice, altruistic, and well-meaning."
Ha!
I got 3/4 of the way through Season 8
You actually probably stopped right before it got REALLY FUCKED UP. No, I mean REALLY.
REALLY.
There's also apparently a Faith and Angel comic out right now that's really good, but it starts after the Buffy S8 comics and is therefore spoilery for what happened at the end of that run.
