We're taking a moment ... and we're done.

Buffy and Angel 1: BUFFYNANGLE4EVA!!!!!1!

Is it better the second time around? Or the third? Or tenth? This is the place to come when you have a burning desire to talk about an old episode that was just re-run.

You were a wrong baby who grew up wrong. The wrong kind of wrong. It's better you hear it from a friend.

The PCP excuse was usually only applied to vampires; I don't think any excuse was given for the hyena kids. Bullying? Anger management issues?

Couldn't face another cafeteria lunch?

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

The PCP excuse

I keep reading this as FCP and wondering what Final Cut Pro has to do with vampires.

All is well that ends in pizza.

Heads up Mark Watches (and Buffy!) fans!

Note: if you join in the comments, please read his very strict no spoiler policy. He's watching it for the first time, ever.

"And to be clear, I am the hell. And the high water."

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

It's kind of a nerdgasm special since he's also going to start reading LotR about the same time.

"And to be clear, I am the hell. And the high water."

I have to say though that his response to the BSG finale was alarmingly positive.

Calli: My people have a saying. A man who trusts can never be betrayed, only mistaken.Avon: Life expectancy among your people must be extremely short.

Well, "and it turns out that his name was really Adam and her name was really Eve" is one of the classic SF endings. Unfortunately it is one of the classic BAD SF endings, so bad it that people stopped joking about it, because even the jokes became a stale cliche.

"Oh no! Has falling sky liquid once again caused you the sadness?" -Starfire

I got out my Buffy set and dusted it off in anticipation of Mark Watches starting it on Monday! I'm actually going to try watching it along with him (unlike everything else where I get impatient and finish the series way before he does).

Is it weird that I'm scared that he won't love Buffy as much as we do? (That's crazy talk! He thinks everything is the BEST THING EVER!)

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

He'll find S1 kind of slow at first. But he'll dig all the funny and ship Xander and Willow early. Then Prophecy Girl will kick his ass. Then S2 will blow him away. Then he'll go nuts for Oz and fall in love with Giles. Passion will destroy him. He'll enjoy S4 but get totally lost in the season arc and it won't make any sense to him. (Because it doesn't make sense.)
