I can usually think of at least one good thing to say about every Buffy episode, but nothing is coming to mind on that one.
I did manage to convert a friend with that one - he was himself a recent fast food hell veteran, and the creepy, depressing orientation video they made poor Buffy watch had him simultaneously laughing, crying and screaming.
The Doublemeat hat is good for a giggle. As is Xander's face when he thinks he ate people.
How did I just now learn that Halfrek actually was Cecily? I am so ashamed.
I thought it was just the same actress...was Cecily really a vengeance demon? That puts a whole new spin on Spike's creation story.
Spike said "Cecily?" as a throw away line. Not a plot point, but canon. Fan service.
so if she was a vengeance demon on assigment while spike was lovelorn William, that was just a coincidence that they met? I mean, didn't she lean towards vengeance for children? What was she doing hanging out in high society having embarring poems written to her? Or did Joss just like the actress, re-cast her as Halfrek, and then have so many fans notice that he had to either confirm or deny them being the same character?
I believe it is the latter.
Well, her saying "William?" was kind of a nod in the ep.
I remember writing a quick Spike/Halfrek fic between the week before Hellps Bells. Now where is that?
