But I understand. You gave up everything you had to find me. And you found me broken. It's hard for you.

Buffy and Angel 1: BUFFYNANGLE4EVA!!!!!1!

Is it better the second time around? Or the third? Or tenth? This is the place to come when you have a burning desire to talk about an old episode that was just re-run.

I do believe in killing the messenger, you know why? Because it sends a message. ~ Damon Salvatore

I was going through media cd's i'd made over the years last night and i came upon a Buffy one with clips like Spike's monologue in In the Dark about Angel being a big fluffy puppy with bad teeth, Giles singing Behind Blue Eyes and other such gems. really made me miss the show and i totally put them on the metallipod.

Days shrink and grow cold, sunlight through leaves is my song. Winter is long.

..you have a metallipod?

Oops. Wrong thread.

And see, Buffy/Angel was always my OTP. I thought Buffy and Spike were cute in Something Blue, but for me a little Spike goes a long way, sort of like cilantro, and I hated the whole time they were a couple. Although I really liked the Spike and Dawn interaction. I'd rather have seen them make something real out of Buffy and Riley than try and maintain the Buffy/Spike relationship. I realize I'm in the minority, but there you go.

Then again, I watched from ep.3 and caught up when the WB aired BtVS two nights a week, so I watched Buffy/Angel from the get-go, from when DB really was smart as a box of hair onscreen.

IWRY utterly broke me. I saw the narrative necessity for the breakup, it felt organic and earned to me, in a way B/S never did.

::shrugs:: Eh, different strokes.

indeed. that's what i named my iTouch.

i'm a B/A 'shipper too. much like Beverly, i liked them in Something Blue, but i grew weary of them as a "couple". Fool For Love is probably one of my favorite Spike/Buffy eps.

never liked Riley. never ever ever. Marc is a sweetheart though.

I didn't really like him until the "but she doesn't love me" scene with Xander. Really incredible moment. And, you know that I love me a midwestern farm boy.

You should know I'm a big deal in the Resistance.

I thought Riley was a good guy and that Buffy didn't deserve him. The stuff with him visiting the vampire den seemed very artificial, to make him into a bad person & it never felt real to me.

Cats to become a rabbit should gather immediately now here

For some reason, I remember Riley having better chemistry with Willow, especially when he was TA guy. I sort of wished he stayed TA guy, frankly.

That's the pain / That cuts a straight line down through the heart / We call it love

Laga, I always felt the same way about Riley, although I'm not sure I'd say Buffy didn't deserve him. It was always clear to me that he'd never be The One for her, but I liked him a lot. He was sweet and he tried hard to be the man she wanted him to be.

"And to be clear, I am the hell. And the high water."

I realize I'm in the minority, but there you go.

I'm with you too. Not a B/S fan. Not at all.

I was okay with Riley until he started going to vampire crackhouses to get blood sucked out of him. That was a line crossed that I couldn't come back from. I never did feel the same about the character after that.

I dig Buffy/Spike for the hot factor but I really think Buffy needs therapy more than love. In the end Riley did find the right woman for him.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

I thought the B/R relationship was fine while they were in the middle of it, but the writing that got the characters together and broke them up was painfully bad.

I never really bought any of Buffy's relationships from a chemistry standpoint. SMG as an actress is sort of a reverse-BBOC for me.
