I don't fancy spending the next month trying to get librarian out of the carpet.

Spike ,'Chosen'

Buffy and Angel 1: BUFFYNANGLE4EVA!!!!!1!

Is it better the second time around? Or the third? Or tenth? This is the place to come when you have a burning desire to talk about an old episode that was just re-run.

Ann, that's a ferret.

I give it a lot of points for showing just how awful the service industry can be.

I spent several summers working at fast food restaurants. But DMP seemed to be Buffy's rock bottom -- think of the sex scene by the dumpster. She's thoroughly depressed, there's no hope, and it isn't even heartbreaking in a good way.

My least favorite episode evar. Obvious, obnoxious and just plain yuck.

So come, my friends, be not afraid/We are so lightly here/It is in love that we are made; In love we disappear

The "Did you see the sun rise today?" ep?

Yes! Man, that one.

I have a Depressed Hopeless Fast Food Past fondness for DMP.

What show(s) is/are those?

Yeah, as Sumi says, Supernatural. I think the difference for me is that there's a sort of slickness to Joss's writing, a self-awareness that for me, distances or cools the emotional impact, where Kripke and Co., especially during S1 and S2, have a slightly less refined/thought out approach that at times works in their favor, allowing for accidental depths of utter emotional sincerity.

I know my own heart and understand my fellow man. But I am made unlike anyone I have ever met. I dare to say I am like no one in the whole world. - Anne Lister

Hey. New board.

I think the best Buffy/Jossverse hour is Restless. The Body and Out of Gas come near. No single episode of Angel affected me that much, though I think the show as a whole may be my favorite of the three.

My best hour of TV full stop is either Restless or one of "A Trip to the Dentist" from Veronica Mars, "Desolation" from Joan of Arcadia (Season 1 finale), or "When You Were A Fever" from Gossip Girl (though that definitely has some of that higher-than-lowish-expectations sheen Plei was speaking of). I am unable to choose among these, as mood plays a very big factor.

You know, we could experiment and cancel football.

Folks at work wanted to call a Buffy and Angel promotion "Buffy and Angel Forever". I told them "Can. Of. Worms." Name of promotion changed. Hee.

Remember that the frontier of the Rebellion is everywhere. And even the smallest act of insurrection pushes our lines forward.

Sheesh. Everyone knows that it's spelled "4EVA". Good thing you set them straight, Tamara.

"And to be clear, I am the hell. And the high water."

I think the best Buffy/Jossverse hour is Restless.

Gris, I'm so glad there is love out there for my favorite Buffy ep. Seriously I love this ep like it is my child.

I do love Restless but it's not my favorite. It is by far the best depiction of dreaming I've ever seen.
