Gunn: The final score can't be rigged. I don't care how many players you grease, that last shot always comes up a question mark. But here's the thing. You never know when you're taking it. It could be when you're duking it out with the Legion of Doom, or just crossing the street deciding where to have brunch. So you just treat it like it was up to you—the world in balance—'cause you never know when it is.

'Underneath'

Buffy and Angel 1: BUFFYNANGLE4EVA!!!!!1!

Is it better the second time around? Or the third? Or tenth? This is the place to come when you have a burning desire to talk about an old episode that was just re-run.

Greece's financial crisis threatens to take down all of Western civilization - a civilization they themselves founded. A rather tragic irony - which is something they also invented. - Jon Stewart

To understand what happened at the diner, we shall use Mr. Papaya! This is upsetting because he's the friendliest of fruits.

I will always be the only person ever who liked Spiral, won't I?

I liked both Spiral and WotW just fine, although really, I hate few episodes of Buffy. Except for the one with the fucking puppet. I hate that one.

You should know I'm a big deal in the Resistance.

I enjoy rewatching a lot of the Doctor Who episodes. I think I kept the netflix disc with Sally Sparrow and Family of Blood on it for three weeks. I just couldn't bear the idea that when I sent it back I couldn't watch it again whenever I wanted.

I like Spiral too, mostly because of the horsies and because Spike is the goth Neal Cassady.

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

Possible topic of discussion:

Episodes 5:12 (You're Welcome) to 5:15 (Hole in the World) of AtS (also known as disk 4 of season 5's DVDs) was the best run of 4 consecutive episodes in the series.

Yay or Nay?

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

Is someone rewatching the whole series?

You were a wrong baby who grew up wrong. The wrong kind of wrong. It's better you hear it from a friend.

Is someone rewatching the whole series?

I just finished doing so a couple of weeks ago, going through it with Wallybee. Now we're watching Battlestar Galactica.

What makes you think that, Burrell?

I think Steph L is as well, and Polgara, though she may be done by now.

Apart from sports, "my secret favorite thing on earth is ketchup. I will put ketchup on anything. But it has to be Heinz." - my husband, Michael Vartan

I vote nay. I'm going with Reprise through Dead End as the best consecutive four.

I vote nay, largely because I loathed Hole in the World when it aired. I'm not sure I'd regard Why We Fight as good enough to sustain that assessment either, but I do love the outraged delivery of "I was Rasputin's lover!"

Also, "This bathysphere is perplexing..."

But yeah, I find A Hole in the World to be infuriatingly terrible, and Why We Fight is only good because it enabled me to taunt people with "nautilus" for a few months. I don't know if Angel managed 4 good episodes in a row that often, but I'm sure I'd go with some set in S4.
