Is it midnight yet?
One of the things that I find so likeable about Dr. Horrible is that he really hasn’t been evil. Despite wanting to get into the evil league of evil, he is offended at the thought of hurting kids or smothering grandmothers. “Do I even know you?” It’s only when Capt. Hammer shows his smarmy side, disrespecting Penny, that Billy decides to show us violence. And even then its a '60's Godzilla representation. Before then Billy/Dr. Horrible is mostly just resentment and plans. I can't help pulling for a "villain" that cares for people more than the "hero".
Is it midnight yet?!
I looked it up on imdb (which says it's a TV show. I was expecting there to be a new category for internet media) and there is a "more" under the cast listing which I did not click on in case we do get to meet Bad Horse.
Attempting to get it to load now. (I have my doubts.)
not even a minute in and i have to say...
FURY and Marti!!!
It's stuck on the "r" in Dr. in the title graphics - it's "buffering". . . is it possible that it will be horrible and slow the first time through and then play smoothly after that? (You know, the way youtube works.)
Now it's gone back to "Felicia Day in". . .
I think they're in the process of getting it up on iTunes. I tried downloading, but it's not there yet. The :30 clip is on and I saw it and now I want to see the whole thing.
Marti Noxon and David Fury!!!!!!!!!!!!!
!
well...that was tragic! we should have known. what with it being Joss and all.
Are we sure
Tim didn't write that
?
Hmmm.
I don't know. I didn't like the ending much -- too much of a shift in tone toward tragedy? And the tragedy didn't feel quite *earned* since we spent so little time with Penny. And her last words were "Captain Hammer will save us", which, OK, she didn't do much except be sweet and naive, and she died sweet and naive and all her function was being The Girl, then The Victim. I am disgruntled, even though NPH acted his little heart out and the final montage was terrifically put together.
