He's starring. I don't know whether he will also direct.
'Ariel'
Buffy and Angel 1: BUFFYNANGLE4EVA!!!!!1!
Is it better the second time around? Or the third? Or tenth? This is the place to come when you have a burning desire to talk about an old episode that was just re-run.
By the way has anybody heard or seen Tony Head's new project? The musical with N. Ogre from Skinny Puppy?
You mean "Repo! The Genetic Opera" with Paris Hilton? [link]
Somebody here might need this shirt
A friend of mine went to the SPN/Buffy conference in the Chicago 'burbs this weekend and Nick Brendon was there and she came away from it worried about him. She thought he seemed a bit bitter, depressed and unhappy. Anyway, she asked me to post this here because she figured that if he is feeling unloved there are people here who are NB fans who might want to do something. (Like, get him a copy of the Buffy comic - which he was vocal about not having. . . I guess everyone brought that one Xander cover issue for him to sign.) He is apparently, still very much upset about Kitchen Confidential and his one recurring role on a regular show maybe pretty much done due to the strike. (They'd filmed one episode with him in it before the strike happened.)
Nick actually blogged yesterday. I wasn't able to make it to Chicago, but he seems pretty matter of fact in the blog -- if stream of conscious-like, as usual, which always makes transcribing the audioblogs interesting. I still need to finish proofreading it before I post it.
Okay - that's good. (I will let her know that.)
Well the thing about the show with the recurring role is kind of disappointing. And he and Mark Lutz were the only Whedonverse folks at the place.
I love Mark Lutz. such a sweet guy. will have to remember to come back and listen to Nick's audioblog when i have a minute.
Apparently, Mark Lutz was hilarious. My friend asked him if he does stand-up but actually he has a background in improv - and he shows it by being really fearless in what he'll do and say at these things!

He is getting divorced; maybe that's part of it? I saw that news on imdb, when I was checking the profile on his wife, whom I did an internship with eons ago; there was a recent picture up of her, and she looked stressed and fake-smiley and like she'd lost a good 20 lbs. I don't know Nick at all and I doubt his wife even remembers me -- it was easily several lifetimes ago -- but I still feel weirdly sad and worried for both of them.
