Buffy and Angel 1: BUFFYNANGLE4EVA!!!!!1!

Is it better the second time around? Or the third? Or tenth? This is the place to come when you have a burning desire to talk about an old episode that was just re-run.

"This bar smells like kerosene and stripper tears."

I think the stunning, and actually having to be awake and feeling it peel the skin freaked me right the hell out. Like those people who wake up during surgery.

Drusilla, the Gentlemen, and Monkey'sPaw!Joyce were the show's only villains that really creeped me out.

ETA: I forgot Anya in "Afterlife".

Dru never creeped me out; I found her wacky and endearing. I felt the same way about the Gentlemen. But Monkey'sPaw!Joyce unnerved me.

Was "Afterlife" the one where she was kinda-sorta possessed and had the knife? Because if so, yeah. That scared the bejesus out of me.

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

Ooooh yeah, that was some scary shit there.

Yeah, where she was all white-eyed and laughing and floating forward while she cut her face with the knife. Brrr.

Drusilla didn't normally scare me, but she had her moments at the start of "Lie to Me" and "Surprise" and at the end of "What's My Line." I think Juliet was better than anyone at portraying a vampire as an inhuman predator (David and Mark Metcalf being close, though).

I think that's part of the reason I find Dru so endearing. She really IS a vampire, and quite happy about it. That is very rare in vampire fiction.

... I just realized I want a story where Dru runs across the vampire family from the movie Near Dark.

I'd say Drusilla was easily my favorite character out of everyone. Certainly out of all the non-core four.

Shit's all sorts of different now.

Sean's gonna hate me. Why?

I HATED Drusilla. She annoyed the ever-loving crap out of me. If I could have, I would have made a stake with Miss Edith's head on it and Mr. Pointey'd her.

PS I get never ending amusement out of the fact that Em's teacher is Miss Edith.

What is even happening?

Dru was a hoot. You have no magic in your spleen, Aimee.
