I happened to be home with the flu the night of the series premiere, and while I hadn't been wowed by the movie I thought it would make for an enjoyable night's brainless cheese watching.
Then the nervous born victim schoolgirl turned around in vamp face and Joss had me for life.
The opening to WttH, still awesome.
Cool, Buff's delivery of "That's no what I'm looking for" is very much like Xander's "That's not the way out".
Other way around, logically, I suppose.
And, there's Buffy and Giles looking down at the crowd at the Bronze...

I can't pinpoint when I fell for this series. I was kind of determined to like it before it started - I had enjoyed the movie and had heard that the series would be darker, not so silly, but still funny. Which it was, so, sweet.
Has "1843. Madrid." Ever been expanded on? In a comic or somewhere?
