Lorne: Snakes? Uh-huh. And they came out of your what? Okay. Okay, well, did they get up there themselves or is this part of a, you know, a thing? No, I'm not judging...Do we fight snakes? Angel: Only if they're giant. Or demons. Or giant demons. Are they giant demon snakes? Lorne: Well, unless this guy's 30 feet tall, I'm thinking they're of the garden variety.

'Lineage'

Buffy and Angel 1: BUFFYNANGLE4EVA!!!!!1!

Is it better the second time around? Or the third? Or tenth? This is the place to come when you have a burning desire to talk about an old episode that was just re-run.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Nana korobi, ya oki. (Fall down seven times, stand up eight.) ~Yuzuru Hanyu/Japanese proverb

Works for me, connie. Otherwise, I'll have to resort to tilting my head at a funny angel, er angle, so that my bad eye blocks out either the Buffy or the Angel, leaving out any possibility of the two of them having congruence on the page. Left tilt, Angel; right tilt, Buffy. Left, right, left, right. I'm getting dizzy. Can we change the thread title now?

So I finally decided to read the last seventy or so posts in the FF spoilers thread yesterday -- no, really, it relates to this thread -- and I saw something that made me have to go back and watch a scene from I Will Remember You. There's a part, apparently, where DB flubs and says, "Sarah," instead of "Buffy." I think I sort of caught it, but I also wonder if I'm just hearing it because I think I should.

Is it the part at the very end of the clock counting down scene when he's saying, "Please, please, please," when it happens? I sort of thought I could hear it.

You know, that scene still gets me. She really brought the pain. Poor dear.

Not so nice is that I'm about to ruin a Friday morning for a bunch of people because of a series of unfortunate events and an upset foreign government. - shrift

I just think it's funny that the creation of the combined thread, with the requisite closings of the separate Buffy and Angel threads, did not cause as much discussion as the new thread title.

(20 years in the future)

Yes, buffista!sprog, we combined 2 show threads into one, mixing related universes that had completely different feels, and in the process ensuring that Buffy and Angel are together forever. Now, darling, why don't you be a dear and see if there are any new messages in Buffy and Angel 53: BUFFYNANGLESTILL2GETHA!!!!!1! HA!!!!!!! I'll go see if the cookie dough is finished baking.

Sure I went over to the Dark Side, but just to pick up a few things.

I also wonder if I'm just hearing it because I think I should.

I've heard it too, but I don't think it's because you want to hear it. I've turned the volume on my TV way up at that part and he does say "Sarah". I'm assuming DB said SMG's name instead of "Buffy" because of how intense the scene was and, oops, wrong name came out.

Our wings are not tired.

I try and not watch the FX reruns because of the evil cuts and commercials, but Band Candy was just on while I was eating lunch and I couldn't resist. My heart is filled with early BtVS love again.

This and 20 minutes of break with Buffy much better than 20 minutes with CNN.

We're very stretchy. - Connie Neil

Band Candy is probably the episode that got me back into watching first-run Buffy on a more regular basis after I stopped midway during Season 2, so I have a serious love for the ep.

Taking the constant fundraising that every school group (that is not fully funded, like boys football and basketball!) is all too familiar with and turning it into a Buffy ep was brilliant.

every morning, I get a little buffy fix. since they were running season 7, i sometimes would switch over to angel (drama in the AM), but we're back to season 1. Mornings can make me happy, and sometimes late if it's an ep I just _have_ to see the end of :)

Our wings are not tired.

The nice part about them running the early eps is that it works to just catch a few minutes. A quick pick me up between work tasks. Filling in what transpired before and after the scene is a snap.
