The count of three isn't a plan. It's Sesame Street.

Buffy ,'First Date'

Buffy and Angel 1: BUFFYNANGLE4EVA!!!!!1!

Is it better the second time around? Or the third? Or tenth? This is the place to come when you have a burning desire to talk about an old episode that was just re-run.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

I decided to go ahead and get the Collector's Set, because I think it has extra, um, extras and ends up being $25 more than buying all the slim-lines, but I'm going with slim-line Angel for both cost-cutting and space saving reasons.

Thanks for the pointer, Strega!

What is even happening?

And I was wondering if other people's favorite episodes were as non-Joss writer specific as that? I mean, sure I loved OMWF, Hush, The Body and Restless( I didn't really watch in real time until Restless so, Surprise, Innocence, etc have less impact for me than others watching in real time), but Intervention and Pangs, -- they felt like they couldn't be any better if they were written by an invisible person in my brain.
Some of dh's favorites are Fury episodes. Actually, any time he went on about a BtVS episode at length, it was a Fury.

I tend to be a Joss/Jane girl.

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

I didn't know you were into RPF.

What is even happening?

Just for really famous writers of obscure TV series.

Buffy is far from obscure, come on.

On a good night (excluding when Willow barfed up a snake and brought her back from the dead), Buffy took in about 3 million viewers -- maybe a few more.

"I remember when they eventually introduced that drug kingpin who murdered people and smuggled drugs inside snakes and I was like 'Finally. A normal person.'” —RahvinDragand

I think for me Jane stands out as Joss's second with episodes like "Earshot," "A New Man," "After Life," and "Conversations with Dead People" (my favorite of hers). But Marti Noxon gives her a run for her money with episodes like "Surprise," "Bewitched, Bothered, and Bewildered," and "The Wish." I just think she had more clunkers than Jane, and took the show in directions I didn't want to follow once she was the showrunner.

To be fair, I could say that last about Tim's stint as showrunner on Angel as well, though aside from "Rm w/aVu" he wrote most of my favorite episodes.

Nick's Sci-Fi Channel movie finally has an airdate! And a new name!

Per Sci-Fi.com, Fire Serpent will debut Feb. 24. It doesn't yet have one of those delightfully overdramatic splash pages like Amber Benson's Gryphon got. But it did have an official synopsis:

A veteran firefighter tries to convince a young fireman and a government agent that the blaze they are fighting is really a fire creature spawned by the sun. Nicholas Brendon (Buffy the Vampire Slayer), Sandrine Holt (24) and Robert Beltran (Star Trek: Voyager) star.

Oh my God. SciFi never ceases to amuse me. What will they come up with next?
