Y'know I've always known that I was overly sentimental. it struck me last night when I was cleaning out my TiVo because i'm going to be out of town all next week, and I wanted to make sure that there's enough room. I recorded the rebroadcast of Welcome to the Hellmouth/The Harvest. It's taking up 28% of my capacity right now, I own the box set of DVDs, yet I cannot bring myself to delete it. *sigh*
Buffy and Angel 1: BUFFYNANGLE4EVA!!!!!1!
Is it better the second time around? Or the third? Or tenth? This is the place to come when you have a burning desire to talk about an old episode that was just re-run.
Vortex, my sister. I cannot delete the WB showing of WTTH/TH that they aired on their last night on the air. Can't do it. Also can't delete a bunch of BtVS and A:ts episodes, even though I have the DVDs, because it feels "mean."
What's up with that?
I love Emmett.

We are fans, my children. BtVS is in our blood, working its will over us. And there is something about keeping it in its "original" context -- broadcast over a network, commercials and all -- that is part of the way we have been indoctrinated. Resistance is futile.
It's true. Sad and pathetic, but true.
Kind of like the way I still have all of my old videotapes of Buffy and Angel, complete with special Buffy labels *sigh*
I didn't have Buffy labels, but my labels included titles, episode numbers, series, date aired, date recorded. I still have them too, but I keep them at my mother's cottage (where we have no DVD player) and we do watch some of them a few times each summer.
I keep thinking that I could sell them on Ebay. I mean, my VCR isn't even hooked up anymore!

This is me. Except for the bit about ever parting with them. I mean, there will be some time in my life when I will sit around and watch them on tape again, right? (taking into consideration that I have everything on dvd and have about 4 dvd players in a 700 sq ft living space)

Ah, you TiVo having people who have no use for a VCR anymore. Alas, I am cheap, so I still tape shows to watch later. I'll never give up my tape collection, unless I buy the DVDs. Which, in most cases I have, so now I reuse my old Buffy tapes for newer shows.
Hey, you want a bunch of blank videotapes? I found a pack of 6 when I was looking for something the other day.
