Angel: I can stay in town as long as you want me. Buffy: How's forever? Does forever work for you?

'Lies My Parents Told Me'

Buffy and Angel 1: BUFFYNANGLE4EVA!!!!!1!

Is it better the second time around? Or the third? Or tenth? This is the place to come when you have a burning desire to talk about an old episode that was just re-run.

The Angela/Hodges stuff bugs me.

Yeah, it came out of nowhere and smacks of "we need more emotional interaction." But I'm glad Cam and Brennan came to a working understanding, I was afraid they were going to have ongoing catfights.

I think that we got hints that Hodges had a crush on Angela before. It's the escalation that's sudden and undefinable.

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

Hey, speaking of MotW eps. our first one of those is coming up (I don't think "The Witch" falls under that category due to lack of M)!

Hey, there's an M! I have much fondness for "The Witch" because it was my first episode, and it hooked me with its Nifty Plot Twist.

Hey. New board.

The Witch is one of my favorite eps that isn't often in lists of favorite eps. When watching Season 1, it's the first evidence, to me, of what the show will be later. WttH is too setty-uppy, and The Harvest has too much Luke who I hate.

I actually think "The Witch" is my second-favorite episode of Season 1, after "Prophecy Girl". I think "The Pack" would probably be third.

The evil is this way?

Where's Narrator? She should be piping up about Angel's ring, any moment, now.

I was in my bunk. (Hey, at least it's a Joss show.) Ah, yes, the search for Angel's Ring. Many a fine post was spent on that search.

I expect Narrator to jump in when y'all get to Go Fish.

Xander. In a Speedo. Wet. Hmmm. Back to my bunk....

The Pack has Xander being dangerous. Always pretty.

Speedo beats pork rinds, anyday.

Xander dangerous. Yum. The Pack was the first time I ever found Xander the least bit attractive. And then - zing!

Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

Dangerous Xander was nummy. Really nummy.

But "freaked-out Mom who hasn't heard from her teenage daughter in months" trumps just about every other excuse for overreaction.
This.

"We are the Goon Squad and we're coming to town...Beep! Beep!" - David Bowie, "Fashion"

I think that we got hints that Hodges had a crush on Angela before. It's the escalation that's sudden and undefinable.

The sudden onset had me rolling my eyes, but now that they've established it, I'm enjoying it. I think it has potential to contrast nicely with Booth/Brennan's non-involvement.

I actually think "The Witch" is my second-favorite episode of Season 1, after "Prophecy Girl". I think "The Pack" would probably be third.

Yeah, I guess. I love the episode. It's just that Amy's mom never pinged me as a MotW the way, say, even Marcie did. I'm not sure why. But it is a stand-alone (future Amy issues, aside), so I guess in that respect, it is a MotW. Maybe "Teacher's Pet" pings me as sooooo MotW because that's about all the episode has going on (apart from the first instance of Xander being a demon magnet).
