'War Stories'

Buffy and Angel 1: BUFFYNANGLE4EVA!!!!!1!

Is it better the second time around? Or the third? Or tenth? This is the place to come when you have a burning desire to talk about an old episode that was just re-run.

Woe to the fucking wicked.

If you're looking at dimensional parents, Helen on Joan of Arcadia is pretty good.

I thinking putting Lorelai as the best of the 2000s is a little...pessimistic wrt parents. I would be really uncomfortable with a mother looking up to her as a role model, especially as I don't think her tactic would have worked nearly so well with at least 80% of kids.

I like Kirsten and Sandy, though I don't feel like I have any idea of what kind of parents they were for most of Seth's life, which is a little weird. I just get the sense that their parenting has evolved more than most.

Always Anti-fascist!

Yeah, Lois is a tough chick. And she knows what it's like to have money problems and rubber checks all over town. My mom didn't quite wear her Stress Face all the time, but it looks like that, when she does.

"Cry havoc and let slip the boobs of war!" -- Miracleman

I think that Lorelai gets a lot of credit for the way Rory turned out, but a lot of that is just Rory's personality.

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

That man was going to shank me. Over an omelette. Two eggs and a slice of government cheese. Is that what my life is worth?

Snyder as "The Fool".

Embrace the idea that we are the leaders we've been looking for. Grace Lee Boggs

Whenever I see old DB pictures, I just have to snicker. I'm not sure why. I only looked at one (work has bandwidth issues), and it was pretty adorable.

Hee. There were no surprises there. Still? He was a cutie. He's grown into his looks though.

Days shrink and grow cold, sunlight through leaves is my song. Winter is long.

I really love Shimerman. He's a consumate actor, with impeccable timing, and a wonderful voice. He's done so many different things, and done them well.

He's not a leading man, but he's a good working actor.
