Buffy and Angel 1: BUFFYNANGLE4EVA!!!!!1!

Is it better the second time around? Or the third? Or tenth? This is the place to come when you have a burning desire to talk about an old episode that was just re-run.

To understand what happened at the diner, we shall use Mr. Papaya! This is upsetting because he's the friendliest of fruits.

I guess they had to drop the bit about her being able to sense vampires, or else Angel wouldn't have been able to fool her.

I always assumed it was because he had a soul, he didn't set her off the same way (until she got used to him skulking ... she does get better at sensing him.)

"I remember when they eventually introduced that drug kingpin who murdered people and smuggled drugs inside snakes and I was like 'Finally. A normal person.'” —RahvinDragand

Best! Death! Evar!

I'd hold the Judge's up to it for competition. And Steven Seagal's in Executive Decision.

You know, I don't think Darla's ever shown as a strong physical fighter. And we see how Buffy's strength seems to vary depending on plot needs.

She beats the crap out of Angel on his show a couple of times.

also allergy inducing. Definitely one of my favorite scenes in the entire series.

Personally, I think that scene is the best acting SMG has ever done. (And she's had a lot of good moments in her career.)

vanguard of the socialist Hollywood liberal homosexualist agenda

I can't watch and post (because I don't own the DVDs, what the hell is wrong with me!), but I'm so happy to read all of this! I came into Buffy late, and to the Buffistas even later, and the spicy brains are so yummy!

Yes, but would it have been a Best Death if it had been nameless numberhead character actor instead of SS?

Oh no.

I mean, it's a pretty cool movie death, but otherwise unnotable except that it happens to SS.

Samuel L. Jackson in Deep Blue Sea.

Heh. I can't think of that without thinking about The Chappelle Show's "Samuel Jackson Beer" parody ad.

Embrace the idea that we are the leaders we've been looking for. Grace Lee Boggs

Missed the W&P, as the meeting ran as long as I thought, not as long as I hoped. I hope to catch up next week. Most days are ok for me, but just please NOT Wednesday, because I would need to be home by 6, and it's a stretch to get home by 7 on Wednesdays.

I never loved all those scenes in Giles' apartment after they were out of high school. Not the scenes themself so much as just Not The Library. It was a sigh of relief when they did moved to the Magic Shop. But it still wasn't as good as the Library was.

When Buffy started, I wasn't a librarian yet, but I already had the Library Love. I miss the library so. very. much.
