I liked the punkier theme, but I guess the later one was more accessible. Hmm.
Giles toughening up was better, though, a natural progression.
Is it better the second time around? Or the third? Or tenth? This is the place to come when you have a burning desire to talk about an old episode that was just re-run.

Buffy blew it with Cordelia at exactly the moment she asked about marks on the dead bodies. "Morbid much?"
SMG does a lot of work with her face in her non-line moments.
I think I was ahead.
That's okay! I love this whole Buffy/Giles scene and can watch it again!
Damn, he blows her away with being real so quickly. This show definitely brings the good.
You're a little ahead of us, Gris.
This is the scene where they had to re-shoot Sara's part after the rest of the season had been filmed, and Joss threatened to put another reshoot in the very last episode......
Does anyone ever get the whole Slayer speech out?
I forgot how super-cheesy that "How bad an evil could there be here?" transition is.
I also forgot a bit that Giles has a mini Wesley-change. I forgot how stiff he started, way back in the day. I wonder if Joss was like "don't worry, the stuffy English stereotype will slowly be replaced with awesome baddassery, swear."
I miss the library. The Magic Shop was a decent backup zone, but the Library was best.
On this, Hec and I are one.
Not W&P, since my season 1 is currently AWL (absent WITH leave), but loving the concept.
I do agree that another night would be hella better for me, as Tuesday continues to be multiple show night even with RESCUE ME done for the season (blame Colin and Hugh Laurie and, soon, Kristen Bell).
Heh. They blew the secret identity in front of Xander in record time.
Xander = Pete Ross?
"Go ahead. Prepare me."
A nice clear bit about why Buffy's so reluctant, and I'd say a precursor to her speech in "Prophecy Girl."
Ah, Luke. Ah, extras with torches.
