I think the DB commentary was scripted and he read it.
Heh. I wouldn't go that far. It seemed to me as if he was just excited about his directoral debut, and just wanted to talk about it. Lots of trivia about camera moves and angles, plenty of praise for the actors and writer, and some commentary about the problems he encountered (especially having to cut things due to time constraints). Seemed like pretty standard fare for a director.
It did amuse me how different he sounded compared to his Angel voice.
I think we are talking about two different commentaries.
On my way home the other night, I saw a PT Cruiser in front of me with the license plate "BTVS." I joked with the BF that it must be a Buffy fan. Then, the numbers after BTVS hit me: 730. The license plate was "BTVS 730." That just can't be a coincidence. So, there's a big ol' Buffy fan drivng around Oak Park, Illinois in a purple PT Cruiser.
Oh, I want that plate. I think our plates still only have 6 characters, though.
I know this is going to be a D'uoh moment, but what is the significance of the 730?
Buffy's dream in Graduation Day II. Faith says, "Oh yeah. -Miles to go - Little Ms. Muffet counting down from 7-3-0."
And it was two years from then (365+365) that Buffy died.
and we never really figured out what the 7-3-0 meant. there was much speculation then, and after.
Faith's line in Buffy's dream of "counting down to 7-3-0" which I think took them to Buffy's death (2 years, 2x365 days) later.
