'Our Mrs. Reynolds'

Buffy and Angel 1: BUFFYNANGLE4EVA!!!!!1!

Is it better the second time around? Or the third? Or tenth? This is the place to come when you have a burning desire to talk about an old episode that was just re-run.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Angel question: I have a list of Buffy, Firefly, and even Wonderfalls episodes I'd use to convert someone. But what I like most about Angel is S2 1-18 or so. I can't choose between my babies, because the ones I like most have too much HSQ or context. What would you single out as a toaster-getter?

You always do this. We get tipsy, and you take advantage of my love of the scientific method.

The S1 ep with the Gem of Amara (and Spike) was the one that hooked me into the Buffiverse.

Good call.

I do remember hooking a friend into the Buffyverse with FFL and Darla, but she was a writer and fell for the device (and Tim) perhaps more than the show.

Art Crawl!!!

I love "rm w/a vu", but is that too uncharacteristic?

"We are the Goon Squad and we're coming to town...Beep! Beep!" - David Bowie, "Fashion"

I think "Eternity" might not be bad - it covers a lot bases with the characters, including the potential for Angel to go bad.

The Faith two-fer is dynamite, but it's also probably too Buffy-centric and backstory dependent (far more-so than the Spike ep).

I think of that as the show's quintessential single episode. "Somnambulist," "Eternity," "Blind Date," and "Are You Now or Have You Ever Been" would also be good one-shots to use if one wanted to avoid the arc-heavy Darla episodes from Season 2.

All this time, I thought Hunter was a bitch. Turns out she was just hungry.

My DVD recorder makes it possible for me to make MPEGs of the old spots from the WB--not just Buffy and Angel, but Popular and Grosse Pointe and a few others. I've just started and at this point it's kinda fun to do.

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

What kind of DVD recorder do you have, Mikey?

Oh! AYNOHYEB is my current favourite entry point. Nice choice.

What is even happening?

We started rewatching S2 A:ts, last night. We skipped AYNOHYEB, though. I don't know why, but neither of us were in the mood for it. Everyone time I watch Judgment, I wish it were my first time, because there are only a few times I've ever nearly bust a gut laughing at the TV, and the first time I saw DB singing Mandy, is near the top of that short list.
