You guys had a riot? On account of me? A real riot?

Buffy and Angel 1: BUFFYNANGLE4EVA!!!!!1!

Is it better the second time around? Or the third? Or tenth? This is the place to come when you have a burning desire to talk about an old episode that was just re-run.

Woe to the fucking wicked.

That Giles thing was really the one time when the meta really felt like it got in the way of the natural flow of the story, rather than being incorporated into it.

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

Eh. They could've come up with a reason that Giles had to go back to England without it being all "let's teach Buffy a lesson."

"We are the Goon Squad and we're coming to town...Beep! Beep!" - David Bowie, "Fashion"

Akward as it worked it out, it was ALMOST worth it to get to that "I'd like to test that theory." moment.

brillig

Having him hunting Potentials and then disappearing off the radar would have been good, just a couple of lines of "Heard from Giles?" "Not for several weeks, we're getting worried" would have done it.

GS: If you had to choose between kicking evil in the head or the behind, which would you choose, and why? Minsc: I'm not sure I understand the question. I have two feet, do I not? You do not take a small plate when the feast of evil welcomes seconds.

The Potentials thing was in season 7 (and they used that excuse for a couple episodes, didn't they?). Him looking for Potentials in season 6 would be odd. Not sure what a good excuse in season 6 would have been.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

Not sure what a good excuse in season 6 would have been.

Because the vessel with the pestle had the brew that was true. So he got a call from Mildred Natwick and had to sort it all out with the coven of sexy witches.

Embrace the idea that we are the leaders we've been looking for. Grace Lee Boggs

Hec's works for me. But frankly, almost anything would have been better than what they did.

So, an addict to the magic led to leaden armageddon, and the Watcher pseudo-father seemed quite callous to the masses?

Damn you're good. Then the wicca and the bitca sang a song of love so cunning that the levitation action was better than (be)coming.

Yikes. Meanwhile, Wesley had to wrestle with Angelus as his nemesis 'cause a flower-friendly Power prayed for people to devour.
