Buffy and Angel 1: BUFFYNANGLE4EVA!!!!!1!

Is it better the second time around? Or the third? Or tenth? This is the place to come when you have a burning desire to talk about an old episode that was just re-run.

Ah, it is the one I'm thinking of.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I think there's just the one Cicatrix. In my head it's the Iolokus of the Jossverse, but I haven't been all up in reading fic in a while.

Yeah, but as an artist, what did you think of that cover I linked?

It's okay. Doesn't take my breath away -- I think just shifting the framing so the couple isn't so upper middle in the picture would have helped a lot. Also, a bit more ... subtlety, maybe? with the layering of the text and the proto-wings would help me like it more too.

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

Willow's hands in that cover freak me out a little bit.

"I remember when they eventually introduced that drug kingpin who murdered people and smuggled drugs inside snakes and I was like 'Finally. A normal person.'” —RahvinDragand

But not the Bride of Frankenstein hairdo?

All is well that ends in pizza.

Willow's hands in that cover freak me out a little bit.

I'm betting that illustration is copied from a real book cover, and modified. "Willow"s hands are distinctly larger than her hands should be, and more masculine.

Well, it's a photomanip. That's not going to be Juliet's body either. Doesn't have to be from a book cover -- could be from anywhere.

Yes, that is essentially my point, IRT the hands. The heads were more manipulated, less care was taken with the hands. I did not expect that the art was original, and the style is one which is commonly associated with cover art.
