We are done with Buffy! S7 is a tough one to get through but it really does stick the landing. "Are you ready to be strong?" = Instant Tears
I had forgotten that Spike's inclusion in AtS S5 was spoiled by the credits (at the time it was spoiled by a gazillion WB promos but I was hoping to make it a surprise for Aeryn).
Aw. That really was a good ending
The Buffy reboot didn’t get picked up, but David Boreanez’ Rockford Files reboot did: [link]
Man, I'm glad R.J. Decker (from the same executive producers) got its start a season earlier, the two shows have an almost identical premise. I don't think it would have been picked up if the Rockford Files reboot were already airing.
I'm struggling to picture David Boreanaz as Jim Rockford but I admittedly have not seen much of his post-Angel work outside of a few random episodes of Bones.
I can definitely see him as Rockford.
I've heard enough rumors about him being awful on set in his later career that I'm not sure I want him as easygoing genial Jim Rockford, despite the resemblance to James Garner. (It doesn't hurt my appreciation of his work on Joss' shows, but then Angel himself ranging from something of a jackass to a terrifying sadistic killer never bothered me.)
x-post with Fan Fiction
I've been enjoying this story on TTH. It's still a work in progress, but the climax is approaching.

Summary: What if Joss hadn't gone Cali Girl but Southern Gothic instead? A different part of the Buffyverse
