I remain 50/50 skeptical/horrified that a 240-year-old vampire would want to date a high schooler.
The line from Let The Right One In, "I'm twelve, but I've been twelve a long time" rings true to me in this case - Angel's been around for 240 years, but he's also still more or less the age he was when he died. (Early 20s, we're supposed to be thinking, probably?) Plus, back in his day, 16 year-old girls were marriage material, so.
(IT'S STILL TOTALLY SKEEVY BUT I JUST FINISHED WATCHING GRADUATION DAY AND I MISS THEM ALREADY)
I'm trying to decide if I'm going to start rewatching Angel to keep pace, now that I'm up to S4.
OK, OK! I will keep loving them.
"Nightmares" - is this our first William?
Ok, you guys got me. I just watched the first 2 episodes again for the first time since the first run.
Giles "The Earth is doomed" was the last line of part 2.
Jesse came and went and Angel did nothing but act broody.
I just finished a full rewatch of Buffy and have started on Angel. I'm pretty sure this was my first rewatch of Season 7 since it aired.
Just a heads up - we didn't watch this weekend because of a bunch of social obligations. So next weekend we're doing S1E5-6.
I thought the broodiness came later, and in the premiere Angel was kind of sarcastic?
Premier Angel was stalkery and useless. with a hint of sarcastic.
So 4 episodes in and a major plot point continues to be poor Xander's libido.
Another random thought that came to me today: Darla is the very first vampire we see in the show.
