A topic for the discussion of Farscape, Smallville, and Due South. Beware possible invasions of Stargate, Highlander, or pretty much any other "genre" show that captures our fancy. Expect Adult Content and discussion of the Big Gay Sex.

I, for one, welcome the new Daniel Craig James Bond.
It's possible that, despite having read all the books and seen all the movies (every one since my teenhood in the theatres, first run), that I'm not a proper fan. Bond casting news has never done other than make me curious.
I'm looking forward to seeing what they do with an early-in-his-career Bond. Definitely an interesting way to shake up the franchise.
Hi Colin!
Wish I could listen to the podcasts, but I have an old computer and can't run the appropriate software, alas.
I'm happy with Daniel Craig as Bond -- it should make for a more interesting Bond.
I got an email from MGM about tonight's new SG1. Isn't that odd? I never have before.
We're gonna commentary the pilot this weekend we think (aka 101 + 102). I think that's how they number anyway. I know it's too late and all that but we wanted to be complete.
Excellent, since that's the only one I've seen so far.
[Oops, was that out loud?]
The others are Tivoed up for this weekend, the first one in yonks when I won't be stuck at the office.

Same here. Even moreso, if he really were an alien overlord. Alas, he's just British.
(Although, and this really belongs in Movies, nobody but
nobody
looks comfortable or natural playing baccarat any more, the way people don't look comfortable in tuxedoes. So I can't imagine how they'll pull off the first 20 minutes of
Casino Royale,
before they get to the stuff-blows-up parts. I saw the trailer and was like -- dudes, it's a card game. My grandma could kick your ass at this game.)

You are exceedingly harsh. Just as I lay my entire fate at the feet of Mr. Craig, I also hope that they've hired actors who can act like they're comfortable and natural in tuxedoes as well as playing baccarat.
It's a fair trade.
Tuxedoes are as unforgiving on a man as lingerie on a woman: exposing not external flaw (those can be hid, artfully) but internal bold smoove.
Actually, I bet in the alternate universe where boys go to finishing school instead of girls, learning how to wear a tuxedo (or any bespoke outfit) would be a whole semester-long class.
Harsher still. I have definitely seen men carry off the bespoke in recent days, and have no more beef with men in tuxedoes than most women in white or black tie attire. And, honestly, lingerie's not a big attitude problem for me either.
Hmmm, did Baal say that Vala was his wife?
I didn't remember that.
