Yeah, we're building a race of frog-people. It's a good time

Boxed Set, Vol. II: "It's a Cookbook...A Cookbook!!"

A topic for the discussion of Farscape, Smallville, and Due South. Beware possible invasions of Stargate, Highlander, or pretty much any other "genre" show that captures our fancy. Expect Adult Content and discussion of the Big Gay Sex.

Whitefont all unaired in the U.S. ep discussion, identifying it as such, and including the show and ep title in blackfont.

Blackfont is allowed after the show has aired on the east coast.

This is NOT a general TV discussion thread.

"I remember when they eventually introduced that drug kingpin who murdered people and smuggled drugs inside snakes and I was like 'Finally. A normal person.'” —RahvinDragand

The air goes out of the building, she says goodbye and then I do the rest of the scene to a piece of tape stuck to a stand.

Am I alone in thinking that this might be one of the few perks of working with all the child actors on Seventh Heaven?

We recorded it at 3:30 and made the 4:30 fed ex drop last night - the Fed Ex guy waited while I wrote the airbill. Sci Fi NY got the mini disc at 10:30 this morning.

Hopefully it'll air tonight.

I'm talking to Erica right now (Jo) on the phone. Gotta go.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

There is so much I can't say.

We do have a spoiler thread....

Kiss me, my girl, before I'm sick.

I have to say, the mouthbreather from Wonderfalls being the voice of the house cracks me up.

Wait a minute. It's not actually the Mouthbreather -- uhm, let me look him up; Neil Grayston -- who's voicing S.A.R.A.H., is it? 'Cause that's some damn good female vocal impersonation.

You arc stuff for an airing sequence

OMG YOU SAID THE MAGIC WORD, "arc". We love arcs.

Count me in as one of the people loving the Jack & Jo dynamic. I think Jack bounces best off of (wait -- that looks wrong. Ah well) Jo and Henry. The rest of the cast is starting to gel as well, but these three are already *tight*.

It is! Isn't that hysterical? He's frighteningly good at it.

Kiss me, my girl, before I'm sick.

Wow. He is VERY [/Jim] good. That's kind of... hot in a funny way. And it's making me want to see him in a dress and eyeliner. What?

ETA: If Colin posts a couple of more times, we're going to need a new Box Set thread before Friday. Yay new thread!

That was something that took some work. (Neil deciding how to do SARAH)

They all got together on the looping stage (some via ISDN) and hammered it out. Neil said it took a really long time. He was sort of amazed how much dialogue she has.

But he got paid more for doing a "second character" in the show - which we loved because he always got screwed with turn around.

Turn around is the time between wrap and call.

There was one day he worked 14 hours and then got 4 hours off and was called back to do it again. He went home to his new apartment that had no furniture (he was moving), slept in an 70's orange armchair for 2 hours and came back.

Our wings are not tired.

Ugh, long day.

It was fun to see the bits of A Midsummer Night's Dream. I did that show when I was a teen and it was a great experience. Good choice I say. Our production was much more traditional.

I do believe in killing the messenger, you know why? Because it sends a message. ~ Damon Salvatore

Neil is great. it's been a while since i sneaked a peak at his livejournal. first entry is this. segways are dangerous.

watched the ep tonight. not my favorite, but Colin your comedic timing gets me every time. those reviews that ita posted earlier? the one that said you captured bone-tired disbelief to perfection? couldn't agree more with it. though i might throw sarcastic in there for good measure.
