'Out Of Gas'

Boxed Set, Vol. II: "It's a Cookbook...A Cookbook!!"

A topic for the discussion of Farscape, Smallville, and Due South. Beware possible invasions of Stargate, Highlander, or pretty much any other "genre" show that captures our fancy. Expect Adult Content and discussion of the Big Gay Sex.

Whitefont all unaired in the U.S. ep discussion, identifying it as such, and including the show and ep title in blackfont.

Blackfont is allowed after the show has aired on the east coast.

Life on Mars was some of the best TV I've seen in ages. It being remade by David Kelley sounds like a bad joke. Still, I am intrigued. I wonder if the US version will be shown in Britain. We got the US All in the Family and The Office.

"Cry havoc and let slip the boobs of war!" -- Miracleman

Let's not forget Coupling. But, then, Coupling was a UK version of Friends, and then they remade it word for word. Yes, same scripts, with things like "prat" changed to "jerk"

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Not precisely word for word--they had to lose 8 minutes on each episode. And they'd given up on the verbatim-minus-some approach by episode 4, but that was way too late.

We won’t stop until everyone is gay.

were also transplants.

Also, Queer as Folk. Which worked for me, but not for all, as such things go.

"I remember when they eventually introduced that drug kingpin who murdered people and smuggled drugs inside snakes and I was like 'Finally. A normal person.'” —RahvinDragand

I thought it kinda worked til they stopped using Russell T. Davies storylines and started relying on the creative genius of Cowan & Lipman instead.

You always do this. We get tipsy, and you take advantage of my love of the scientific method.

Wow, did that intelligent house gag in tonight's Eureka ever get old in a hurry. Fargo needs to go back to selling knick-knacks in Niagara Falls. I also didn't buy Real!Susan's transformation into caring mother. And worst of all, with thirty major league baseball teams to choose from the best SARAH can come up with to entertain Jack is some fictional team in Indiana? Indiana?!? My belief is rapidly becoming unsuspended.

A turkey in every toilet -- only in America!

Fargo needs to go back to selling knick-knacks in Niagara Falls.

The Mouthbreather! That's who Fargo was! It was driving me crazy.

I thought of you when they showed the Indiana team, Ed. That bugged me as well.

I mean, if they were worried that MLB would come after them for retransmitting the accounts, descriptions, and (especially) trademarks of an actual team, just don't name a frelling team. Then everyone is happy. They went from technobabble to baseballbabble.

Our wings are not tired.

Hmm. I watched, but was distracted easily so didn't watch closely. I missed the dog if he was there. Still like Jack, Henry, Jo, Allison. Didn't mind that Zoe was missing most of the episode. The house was momentarily fun and amusing. Not so much to keep going on and on with it.

Baseball thing went over my head. Sorry baseball dudes.

I think not!zombie!wifey could have been done much better. Didn't buy the transformation either. I wasn't interested in Allison's hubby either.

Need to rewatch with more focus before next week. There is enough likeable that I'll be back for more. I'm easily distracted so it's tough for me to sit through a show. The pilot held my attention. This one was losing me. I'm still interested enough to want to see where they are headed.
