Fandom means never having to say "But where would I wear that?"

According to Amazon, my Doctor Who box set shipped Monday. I won't get it until next week, they say, but it has shipped.

Art Crawl!!!

Mine shipped Sunday and was just outside of Chicago yesterday.

Dare I hope that it's waiting for me when I get home?

ETA: Yes! Amazon says it's been delivered.

(Original Amazon prediction for when I'd receive it: July 12th.)

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

My Doctor Who DVDs arrived today. Don't know when I'll have a chance to watch them, though, alas. I bought mine from Amazon at $69.99 also, which I thought was pretty high but I was too lazy to go looking for a bargain.

Amazon is like crack. I order stuff constantly. The Prime membership with free shipping was a clever bit of marketing. Now when I think of ordering from anywhere else, I think, but I'll have to pay shipping! I've sold out, AIFG.

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

Oh God, I'm on the free trial right now, and you're right, it's so addictive. Any time I want to buy something, I just think, "Hey, free two-day shipping from Amazon! I can even buy, like, just one book, and the shipping is STILL FREE."

I have to remember to cancel when my trial runs out because while it's great, I don't buy enough from Amazon to justify $76 a year for the membership. And if I paid the membership, all I would do is buy more stuff to make it worth it. And that is just silly. I am content with my Super Saver Shipping.

Mostly.

Art Crawl!!!

P-C - I had a free trial run and they inform you. Well, go to your account and you can set it up so that they will inform you when you get near to the end of it.

Sadly, during my free trial I was too broke to buy much of anything.

I just watched the end of 28x12 again. It gave me involuntary chills. There's just something about the voice of the Dalek. It's so full of RAGE. Like it cannot bear the thought of any other lifeforms even existing. That's scary. They're not like the Cybermen, who are just engaging in some sort of misguided attempt to upgrade humanity. They're fucking vehicles of mass genocide.

All this time, I thought Hunter was a bitch. Turns out she was just hungry.

I got mine at Fry's for the aforementioned price. I got there Tuesday morning before 9 and there were only two copies left in the store.

P-C, as kids we used to argue who would win in a fight, Daleks or Cybermen. And we'd determine the winner by fighting, actual fighting, not roleplay fighting. Needless to say, some of us grew up to be soccer hooligans.

Deep Discount DVD often has better prices than Amazon (not always, though) and free shipping if you're willing to wait. But then, if I buy from Amazon, I'm usually getting more than $25 which means the shipping is free anyway.

Punishingly Intricate

Interrupting Who talk with a Farscape question. I'm a bit over midway through Season 3 and just saw the episode with the cartoons and I must not have been paying close enough attention as I went through the season because I have no idea where they got the ship that D'Argo is so obsessed with. I know it was sometime before the cloning episode but other than that I'm drawing a blank. Anybody remember?

He found it set adrift in a gamma storm, and he knew that his life would not be norm... Oh that Lo'La....
