Watched the first two hours of SGA S3 last night (we are coming up on S3, right?) Pretty good. On average, I preferred it to SG-1 because it actually lets the characters be funny. (Which I understand is a recent SG-1 problem, but still. I know your galaxy's under attack by an emeny who outdoes you on every concievable level, but do they have to be so dour about it?) Details in Spoilers later today when I have time.
Boxed Set, Vol. II: "It's a Cookbook...A Cookbook!!"
A topic for the discussion of Farscape, Smallville, and Due South. Beware possible invasions of Stargate, Highlander, or pretty much any other "genre" show that captures our fancy. Expect Adult Content and discussion of the Big Gay Sex.
Whitefont all unaired in the U.S. ep discussion, identifying it as such, and including the show and ep title in blackfont.
Blackfont is allowed after the show has aired on the east coast.
This is NOT a general TV discussion thread.
I just heard from Netflix--Disc One of BSG S1 is on its way, just in time for the holiday weekend! Considering I didn't get start watching until after I caught a Season 2 marathon of the first half of the season (broadcast right before the second half started), I've never seen any eps from S1 and am really excited to finally see "33".
Grrr. My friend visiting from out of town rented the BSG mini-series and made me watch it after I told him I hadn't seen any of the new BSG.
I'm going to have to buy the Season 1 DVDs now.
Oh, and immediately after watching it you will need season 2.0.
I know. And then the Dr. Who Season 1 DVDs are coming out in the next week or so. My poor bank account.
Next week.
Amazon still has the best price I've seen.
My sister is addicted to BSG. She's even taking to using "frak" as a swear.
None of which is at all notable...unless you've met my sister the genre snob. To her credit (or my pushiness) she has tried both Buffy and Firefly and come away with a resounding "So what?"
All on her own, though, she discovered the Galactica and hoovered her way through the first season.
It's adorable.
I just watched "33" this morning before work--excellent! Loved all the angst over the civilian ship that might, or might not, have been infiltrated. Also loved that bit between Tigh and Adama with the noodles and Tigh sitting on Adama's coat.
ION, Starbuck looks and sounds like my gf's former roommate, which is very distracting when watching the show.
There's a new barrista at my favorite coffee shop who looks surprisingly like Starbuck at first glance. Kinda sorta at second glance, too.
Smonster and Amyth got me into BSG. Luckily Smonster had all the available DVDs on hand for lending purposes. Bless!
