Oh, smacked in the noggin with a 2x4 wrapped in velvet. Yeah, that's what it felt like.

Boxed Set, Vol. II: "It's a Cookbook...A Cookbook!!"

A topic for the discussion of Farscape, Smallville, and Due South. Beware possible invasions of Stargate, Highlander, or pretty much any other "genre" show that captures our fancy. Expect Adult Content and discussion of the Big Gay Sex.

Whitefont all unaired in the U.S. ep discussion, identifying it as such, and including the show and ep title in blackfont.

Blackfont is allowed after the show has aired on the east coast.

This is NOT a general TV discussion thread.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

The vast majority of reviews I've seen have said, basically, "If you miss Buffy, Hex will give you back Willow and Giles, plus sexy lesbian ghosts." The comparisons haven't gone much further than that. I think BtVS is getting mentioned more than Charmed because reviewers are assuming that nobody misses Charmed.

That man was going to shank me. Over an omelette. Two eggs and a slice of government cheese. Is that what my life is worth?

I like the Chicago Tribune's review [link]

More mysterious but still somewhat frustrating is "Hex" (9 p.m. Thursday, BBC America). It has been promoted as the British "Buffy the Vampire Slayer," but it doesn't quite live up to that billing.

Remember, remember/the fifth of November/the Gunpowder Treason and Plot/I see no reason/Why Gunpowder Treason/Should ever be forgot.

I do the dance of joy, for I just got a weekly column gig as tv/movie/dvd person for a major new genre website, that I can't say because they haven't finished certain things yet.

That being said, I have been told to put together a wish list of stuff I want, in the form of screeners, review passes, et. al.

So, speaking as a person in the US, if you could watch whatever you wanted in this upcoming season, genre related, what would you watch?

I don't have cable, so add in cable shows, since screeners are the only way I will get to see them.

Any idea when the Hexed run will end?

Yeah, trying to get my hands on the pilot of Heroes is a high priority for me.

Art Crawl!!!

No, because it has two seasons out and I suspect that BBCA will run one after the other. (The second season was about 13 episodes long.)

They just ran the third episode last night and will repeat it on Sunday.

Heroes sounds good. Jericho. - - are you only interested in new shows?

The Dresden Files is debuting in January (or so we hear.)

Oh, you should try to get your hands on the Aquaman pilot, for kicks.
