I must obey the inscrutable exhortations of my soul—Calvin and Hobbs

I hope so. My feeling is that they will do the region 2 to region 1 thing without bothering to edit everything out.

The DVDs will be the UK broadcast versions.

Yay! [scurries off to pre-order] Thanks.

"I remember when they eventually introduced that drug kingpin who murdered people and smuggled drugs inside snakes and I was like 'Finally. A normal person.'” —RahvinDragand

I rewatched the end of "Bad Wolf" the other night and cracked up over the daleks' reaction to being discovered by the Doctor. All the scene was missing was Kevin Bacon yelling "remain calm, all is well!"

The evil is this way?

Kevin Bacon is a Dalek? Although maybe this explains the whole 6 degree of separation thing.

Love is stronger than death and harder than sorrow. Those who practice it are fierce like the light of stars traveling eons to pierce the night.

Although maybe this explains the whole 6 degree of separation thing.

But I thought the Daleks were now human?

I'm sorry Mr. Bacon, I'm sure you are a lovely person, but I couldn't pass up that cheap joke at your expense. You see, I'm poor and I can't afford anything but cheap jokes.

Art Crawl!!!

I read a message on the BAPS list that said that Australia is getting the Christmas Invasion in mid-July. I hope that means that we will get it sooner than Christmas too.

Woe to the fucking wicked.

Not so much human as made of human bits (which I don't recall realizing how much commentary on Al Queada this was until this time through)

Yay for Christmas Invasion, although I went ahead and ahemed it. (2 1/2 weeks to DVD. That's like a episode's worth of stuff that wasn't on SciFi!)

I will say that the 7 minute bit in between (the Children in Need thing) is worth watching, for anyone who hasn't.

The evil is this way?

Me want more Dr. Who. Right the heck now. With CE.

Woe to the fucking wicked.

SciFi was quite insistent on the existence of the special hardback novels...

I bet there will be extras on the DVDs with him....

Maybe in a couple years they'll do a "The # Doctors" special...

sigh

Me, too.

Although, based on CI, I like the new guy.

Art Crawl!!!

They were special mini hardbacked novels. Do they exist?

And is the Christmas Invasion really on the season 1 disks?

Excellent.

Well, I had another message from BAPS that posted an article that said that Doctor Who had done very well ratings-wise for SciFi. When I mentioned that over on WX, a WXer went looking for the article and discovered another that had the depressing news that Scifi's best ratings EVER were for the wrestling that they showed this week.

Sigh.
