A topic for the discussion of Farscape, Smallville, and Due South. Beware possible invasions of Stargate, Highlander, or pretty much any other "genre" show that captures our fancy. Expect Adult Content and discussion of the Big Gay Sex.

Whitefont all unaired in the U.S. ep discussion, identifying it as such, and including the show and ep title in blackfont.

Blackfont is allowed after the show has aired on the east coast.

This is NOT a general TV discussion thread.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

but it's not like that would stop me from trying.

It might, eventually...

(Conversations like this are why everyone needs to go and rent Primer and watch it right now.)

"I remember when they eventually introduced that drug kingpin who murdered people and smuggled drugs inside snakes and I was like 'Finally. A normal person.'” —RahvinDragand

I have to confess I did rent it and fell asleep before the end. What was up with the other guy using their machine?

If I only had a brain...

Yeah. If the Doctor had perfect control of the TARDIS, he'd be omnipotent, and it would all be very boring. Although it might leave him more time for dancing. IJS. I fear that if I had a TARDIS I'd be very Gallifreyan about it: I'm just here as a tourist, don't mind me, not gonna interfere. Ooh, look at the pretty dresses!

For SGA fans who might be interested, someone has posted a summary of the S2 commentary tracks on the first 4 episodes: [link]

Remembering the criticisms of Glenn Quinn's "fake" Irish accent, this made me laugh:

Referencing the fact that David Nykl speaks fluent Czech, Martin relates how he was at a fan Q and A once and someone said, “Are you concerned about the stereotypes on Atlantis?” When Martin asked what he meant, he said, “Well, like that Czech guy with the terrible accent of his, and his ramblings on in some sort of phoney gibberish.” Martin replied, “He’s Czechoslovakian.” The fan was incredibly embarrassed and apologetic.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

The fan was incredibly embarrassed and apologetic.

Ha! I do adore that.

It was a...thing...of some sort. It was too head-trippy for me to be able to answer plot-related questions like that without rewatching. (And I do own the DVD, so I have no excuse.)

Okay, and what kind of SGA fan doesn't know David Nykl is Czech?

Lameass fan.

And what person wouldn't be able to guess after seeing the name Nykl anyway?

After seeing the Doctor Who screencaps above, i am left with only one conclusion;

New Doctor = Jarvis Cocker

The lost sheep grow teeth, forsake their lambs, and lie with the lions.

Thanks for the screencaps, Daniel!
