I think Helo's under more than enough stress right now not to be thinking too clearly. He's reacting purely on instinct/emotion.

Boxed Set, Vol. II: "It's a Cookbook...A Cookbook!!"
A topic for the discussion of Farscape, Smallville, and Due South. Beware possible invasions of Stargate, Highlander, or pretty much any other "genre" show that captures our fancy. Expect Adult Content and discussion of the Big Gay Sex.
Whitefont all unaired in the U.S. ep discussion, identifying it as such, and including the show and ep title in blackfont.
Blackfont is allowed after the show has aired on the east coast.
This is NOT a general TV discussion thread.
Hmph. Okay, I'll buy that. For now.
I think Helo's under more than enough stress right now not to be thinking too clearly. He's reacting purely on instinct/emotion.
Right. Plus? She's not just any pregnant woman, she's preggers with his child. That can inspire "don't kill her" emotions without invoking negative stereotypes about male behavior.
On another note, why did Starbuck assume she was a Cylon? She knew there was *a* Boomer on Galactica, and another on Caprica. She doesn't know the one on Galactica just shot Adama. I would think that her first reaction would be "huh?" not "kill!"
She knows that there can be multiple copies of Cylon models. Ergo, both Boomers must be Cylons. (As Caprica!Boomer was wearing her uniform, so it couldn't be a twin.)
eta: IOW: *.Boomer ⊂ {Cylons}
Count(*.Boomer) > 1 ⇒ *.Boomer ⊂ {Cylons}
She knew there was *a* Boomer on Galactica, and another on Caprica.
That would be enough for me, given that they're already on alert for people with duplicates.
Yeah, but an instant "shoot!" reflex is another thing all together. OTOH? She just came off a big fight with one....
Good thing that twin human beings don't exist.
Well, she might have known that Boomer did not have a twin. Also, it's possible that the uniform they wear (or some insignia or element of it) is specific to Galactica.
eta: Plus she no doubt had Cylon duplicates on the brain, as she (I think) saw another Six on Galactica.
Actually, I really quite liked Starbucks instantaneous running through a sort of:
Another Boomer? Boomer's a Cylon? Boomer's a Cylon, kill her!
thought process.
There's also the "everyone on this planet is an enemy" thought process.
