Smallville -- Chloe-centric. It was enjoyable. (There was an actual scene with Lex and Clark.)
Boxed Set, Vol. II: "It's a Cookbook...A Cookbook!!"
A topic for the discussion of Farscape, Smallville, and Due South. Beware possible invasions of Stargate, Highlander, or pretty much any other "genre" show that captures our fancy. Expect Adult Content and discussion of the Big Gay Sex.
Whitefont all unaired in the U.S. ep discussion, identifying it as such, and including the show and ep title in blackfont.
Blackfont is allowed after the show has aired on the east coast.
This is NOT a general TV discussion thread.
Greg Grunberg (Weiss on Alias, Sean from Felicity) has a new show about people who discover that they have Super Powers.
I thought Smallville was okay. I'm just wondering why Chloe didn't get mad at Lana for just assuming she was crazy and trying to ship her off to Belle Reeve, considering all the times Lana has been possessed.
I was also starting to wonder if Mikey was some kind of mutant considering the fact that the gaping headwound and the knife to the chest didn't seem to slow him down at all.
And next week we get Cyborg, apparently, despite the fact that Supes should be at least 10 years old than him and he actually looks normal, which removes most of the character's angst. (Well that and for some reason Lex is involved instead of it being Cyborg's father. I wonder if they're going to make him Kryptonite-powered on top of it.)
Ah, my vcr didn't catch the promo. Well, I knew that the Cyborg episode was coming right up and I'm kinda happy about it.
a new show about people who discover that they have Super Powers.
See, that right there (even without the added Grunberg goodness), that phrase just makes me happy. I want to be one of those people!
I am looking forward to the costuming choices I've seen promoed for SG-1 tonight. And I'm hoping to be thumbs-up on the BSG ep. I miss my constant adulation for that show, and I would like it back starting tonight.
My super power is weight gaining, apparently. I'd like to give it back.
I'm waiting for an Angel puppet to show up at a murder scene on Bones. Maybe just have it sitting in the corner of the room without comment, or have someone give it a weird look, look at Boreanaz, and then just shake their head.
It would have to be Bones herself. She does that thought/dismissal thing pretty well.
I liked Bones this week. That the gamers didn't turn out to be the bad guys rocks. Also? The whole analyzing of the underlying myths by a geekboy connecting with comics/GN for the first time. They so should have him still "researching" in future eps.
I just discovered that Star Cops - The Complete Series is available on DVD from Amazon.co.uk. I won't lie to you; I jumped from my seat with delight. I never, not for a moment, thought that it would make it to DVD.
Right, so, it was this late eighties BBC sci-fi/espionage/mystery series and couple that with the title and you're probably cringing. But it was created by Chris Boucher, who was responsible for the best episodes of Blake's 7 and it really is as high-end as television, not just sci-fi television, but television gets. If you like the 'mundanity in a futuristic setting' of BSG or the brainy rigour of The Prisoner or the dry wit of Blake's 7, buy this. Buy it, buy it, buy it. I mean, I don't want to oversell it or anything, but it's better than ten Superbowls.
Buy it.
Well, crap. The SciFi Channel, and ONLY the SciFi Channel, is out on my cable system. That must be some very specific snow-damage. And no one is answering their phones.
Wow.
That really sucks and yet is kind of amazing.
