Ever fired your gun in the air and yelled, 'Aaaaaaah?'

I think I loved the SGA episode for the sole fact that McKay's helper was called Baldrick. So that would make McKay Blackadder, right?

ETA: I loved the end to BSG. Helo and Starbuck have a great relationship. Sharon was so pretty this week.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

Two "beloved S1 characters feel suicidal" eps in a row is a bit much.

Yeah, that was my biggest problem with the episode, I think.

re: next week's episode - how many terrorist organizations does Galactical have to contend with? Let's see - there was Zarak's uprising in season one, the peacenik terrorists from a few weeks ago, and now some (right-wing?) revenge terrorists?

Maybe next they'll have the anti-nonlinear time terrorists. And the anti-suicidal Viper pilot terrorists.

Kiss me, my girl, before I'm sick.

You know, the convo between Boomer and Starbuck and the conflict between Starbuck and Kat were some great stuff. What I don't understand is why they had to drag Anders in. He was on a couple of episodes earlier on and now he's some great lost love of hers, enough to put Starbuck out of comission? The history with Zak and its effect on Starbuck made sense given the guilt and how close to the Adamas she was, but this, this felt weak. Also, I dislike the whole notion of someone like Starbuck, who's got so much interesting complexity of her own, being reduced to incompetence because she's pining fer frak's sake. Bah.

ITA. He's almost turning into BSG's Riley. Which is why I like to imagine Anders getting killed in humorous ways.

We're very stretchy. - Connie Neil

The podcast barely even mentions Anders, surprisingly enough.

I googled "Anders must die" and found an "Anders must die" thread on the SciFi BBoard: [link]

Some have taken to calling him "Blanders."

From the thread:

Yes I'm a proud member of the kill Anders club. Especially because the only reason he made it into the show was because Katee wanted him - that's a bad show for the show's creativity.

Huh? Are they talking about how Katee wanted Starbuck to get laid (IIRC)?

Woe to the fucking wicked.

It's especially weird, given Apollo's great traumatic lost love last week. Which was so traumatic last week, but not even a thing this week.

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

I feel like I need to watch both "Ethon" and "Scar" over again, which is not true of some recent episodes....

Art Crawl!!!

I agree that they could have spaced out "Black Market" and "Scar" better. But there was plenty that I liked: I loved that conversation between Starbuck and Boomer. I loved the Helo-Starbuck interactions. The pretty flippy ships!

Cat is an annoying character. . . or am I just seeing her from Starbuck's POV? I did like it when she actually did stuff that showed she could and wasn't just a loudmouth.

I think that they actually did need to show that Kara hadn't forgotten Anders (whatever you might think of him) -- but why right after last week? Perhaps they should have shown Scar last week, re-thought Black Market and shown it later or maybe, had a different vehicle that shows more examples of Apollo being messed up even before the whole blackbird thing.

(I'm very sad that they don't have the blackbird - - should they be making another one?)

SG1- it was very odd to see the Cylon PR guy. . .and SGA was totally "Look at the Princess".

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

Thing is, so does she, which is what I liked about it. I don't think the ep would have suffered without Anders in it, but I liked that her reaction to the flashbacks was also "WHAT THE FRACK! STOP IT!"
