Boxed Set, Vol. II: "It's a Cookbook...A Cookbook!!"
A topic for the discussion of Farscape, Smallville, and Due South. Beware possible invasions of Stargate, Highlander, or pretty much any other "genre" show that captures our fancy. Expect Adult Content and discussion of the Big Gay Sex.
Whitefont all unaired in the U.S. ep discussion, identifying it as such, and including the show and ep title in blackfont.
Blackfont is allowed after the show has aired on the east coast.
This is NOT a general TV discussion thread.
Was someone complaining about not being able to get "Max Headroom" on DVD? It's available at Goldmonkey.com.
I've bought stuff from Goldmonkey.com; they're bootlegs.
So, Smallville. I didn't care for the A story, and the obnoxious product placement didn't help. The B-story was alright, not great, but alright. And the last scene gave me allergies, damn it.
The product placement was particularly obnoxious. (Me too with the allergies.)
I thought that with better acting this could have been an excellent episode.
Ummm, so is Andrea the Vigilante a known character? Or is she something that they made up for Smallville? (She reminded me a little of Tarantula.)
Yeah, a better actress for Andrea would have helped a lot.
No clue. I'm betting on made up for Smallville, though. Kryptonite-powered heart transplant is a little out there for normal DC continuity.
Andrea was hot.
That's all I got.
Heh.
No comment on Chloe's wardrobe choices this episode, P-C?
I know it's silly, but the whole obvious black makeup under the mask followed by the mask being taken/ripped off and the character's face is clean bugs me for some reason. It bugged me in the assorted Batman movies and it bugged me in this episode. I mean, I realize the reason for it is you can't make the masks as close-fitting as the comic versions and still have the actors be able to see clearly and having them have racoon eyes when they take the mask off would look really funny, but it still bothers me.
Huh. Scar is clever.
And drugs are bad.
Oh god, I don't know if I can deal with Starbuck as Ahab tonight.
