Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

Daniel did eventually get contacts, though it took him too long. Maybe he just didn't like them. I always did wonder why he never got lasik. He's often in situations where it would be really really bad to get some dirt under your contact lens or lose your glasses and not be able to see. I'm scared of lasik, but I've thought of doing it just to make camping easier.

"It didn't taste good. It tasted soooo horrible. It tasted like....a vodka martini." - Matilda

I just wish I had access to the alien technology that has protected his glasses through so many traumatic events. They are way sturdier than any pair I've ever owned, not to mention apparently unloseable.

They never even get fogged over!

We are Buffistas. This isn't our first apocalypse. -- Pix

He still wears glasses most of the time, though.

The meta-issue with the glasses, I fear, is that without them he'd look too much like Mitchell. Which I don't buy, necessarily, but at a distance? Okay, yeah. Still, annoying.

Word, Ginger. And he never has to stop and futz around to get his prescription sunglasses out, the way I do.

I bet there's a whole room at the SGC devoted to keeping spares of Daniel's glasses. And that every other member of SG-1 carries at least two of them in their pockets at all times.

If I only had a brain...

And Teal'c hides them whenever they get back from a mission on which Daniel has done something particularly stupid/suicidal.

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

I saw about half an hour here and there of the Sci-Fi Saturday movie last night, called "Swarmed!" and starring Michael Shanks.

I'm working under the assumption that he had day-care bills to pay, because wow, it was bad. Funny, funny bad.

Speaking of funny, funny bad and SG actors, has anyone but me been subjected to the horror of Boa vs. Python?

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

Last time it aired on Sci-Fi, I was out of town, or I totally would have watched it for David Hewlett. I'm pretty sure a large segment of SGA fandom has seen it for that reason.

That's why I watched it. But oh God. We didn't even fast forward through any of it. Admittedly that was mostly for laziness reasons, but still. More movies need the line "I need to use your boa" in them.
