Daniel's farewell hug to Janet was a thing of delicate beauty. And I loved all the reaction shots in this ep. Unlike last week's SGA, where they just felt like filler.
Boxed Set, Vol. II: "It's a Cookbook...A Cookbook!!"
A topic for the discussion of Farscape, Smallville, and Due South. Beware possible invasions of Stargate, Highlander, or pretty much any other "genre" show that captures our fancy. Expect Adult Content and discussion of the Big Gay Sex.
Whitefont all unaired in the U.S. ep discussion, identifying it as such, and including the show and ep title in blackfont.
Blackfont is allowed after the show has aired on the east coast.
This is NOT a general TV discussion thread.
Oh, and Gateworld as a bunch of deleted scenes up, including a simply fabulous one with one of the Daniels. It made me squee that they'd thought of it. [link]
I've forgotten last week's SGA. Honestly: I have no idea.
I'm so peeved that they didn't dump some of the technobabble for some of the cut bits. They were so much more interesting! I mean, it's not like anyone was listening to their made-up scientific explanation. They were making meta jokes about how no one was listening to their made up scientific explanation! They couldn't've left in the bit about Cassie, or Daniel's wife, or... sigh.
But it was a lot of fun anyway. I mean, talk about a team episode, right?
Katie, did you see the bit about Cam and Sam? I saw them turn into the elevator and thought his hand touched her back, and went "huh" and forgot about it. Woulda been SO COOL if they'd actually been sleeping together. Although completely in violation of USAF regs, mind you.
Oh! I am reminded: WTF was up with Cadman's hair? Were they trying to remind us she was a girl, USAF regs about hair notwithstanding?
Heh. I saw your post earlier this evening and thought, "In a few hours one of us will be happy and one of us will be bummed." I figured it would be me that'd be bummed. You win this time... [retreats to secret lair]
Hee. I have to admit, it is not the most earned win in the history of wins, because, well... miracle cure! Hybrid foetus saves President! Hybrid foetus lives! We get to keep Mary McDonnell! How conveeeeenient. But I just can't beat down the inner child on this one. [thinks, "Secret lair? I gotta get me one of those..."]
One thing really bugged me in this ep - Baltar's antics with Six in the hallways were suddenly drawing everyone's attention, but instances of it in the past were practically ignored by others. I didn't see an appreciable difference in his behavior (though he hadn't been doing it much at all lately) to warrant the sudden attention. I assume they're setting something up where they need for people to have noticed his odd behavior more, but it's not playing well for me.
I wonder about what Roslin is going to do with respect to Baltar.

I did see that! And I was pleased that someone official had intended that vibe. Mallozzi's surprised response made me laugh and laugh. This is what happens when you're all coy rather than being specific, bucko!

Heck if I know. I decided to chalk it up to Atlantis being entirely lax about that kind of thing, but it did bug me--I mean, not even a ponytail?
Where did he refer to Out of Mind?
I loved what a dork Sam was, that she was the one first to talk to herself, and to leverage herself. I loved the beats where Jack would have told her to shut up, and Daniel knew, and she didn't, and no one else was quite sure how to deal with her technoyammer. I loved the little crafty look on Black Sam's face as she fiddled with stuff on the Prometheus.
I'm very scarred by Cam's undies.
Aw, man, there was some good stuff in the cut scenes. I wish they put deleted scenes on the DVDs.
I cracked up every time Black Teal'c manhandled Green Mitchell. Just imagining the inner dialogue each Teal'c and Mitchell had about it.
There were so many good bits; I need to rewatch.
From a bit back, re: Smallville:
So, to follow canon - Jonathan should die, right?
In the original canon, yes. Under current canon, both of the Kents are still alive. Of course, as noted, Smallville plays notoriously fast and loose with DC canon. So anyone is pretty much fair game.
ETA: But if we lose Chloe next week, I may stop watching.
