A topic for the discussion of Farscape, Smallville, and Due South. Beware possible invasions of Stargate, Highlander, or pretty much any other "genre" show that captures our fancy. Expect Adult Content and discussion of the Big Gay Sex.
Whitefont all unaired in the U.S. ep discussion, identifying it as such, and including the show and ep title in blackfont.
Blackfont is allowed after the show has aired on the east coast.
This is NOT a general TV discussion thread.
Well, it's better than Teppard.
Yeah, especially since it sounds so close to "tepid".
What would McKay/Sheppard be?
McShep. Yeap, it sounds stupid. DEATH to all portmanteaux! The worst of the examples I've heard include "Gruke" for Grace/Luke from JoA, and.... wait for it... LoVe for Logan/Veronica from Veronica Mars. "LoVe", for fuck's sake. Words fail.
McShep
Yeah, I've been reading
a lot
of this lately, and it hasn't stopped annoying me yet. How difficult is it to type a few more letters? I mean, really now, for the sake of not being incredibly irritating, it's worth it.
You know, I guess I had seen McShep and just managed to block it out.
What the hell would you call McKay/Zelenka, then? McZel?
I'd go for McEnka. It has a ring.
From this distance outside, I like the portmanteau. I figure the distinction between a Spike/Buffy story and a Spuffy story is helpful to know up front.
Do I get to call Sheppard/Weir "Shweir"?
That's funnier to say than to type.
It'd be funnier to say if it was Sheppard/Weir/Ford and we could call it "Schword".
I'll stop now.

Taste the wrath of my might Schword and tremble!!!!
and it hasn't stopped annoying me yet.
Tangential natter, but things stop annoying you after a while? I usually find them to get more annoying over time.
things stop annoying you after a while?
My god, I'd go insane if they didn't. I have to to make space for new annoyances, after all. I need to get over stuff.

What was the great bit in LOVE IS HELL where he's talking about truths about getting married? Something like "your partners annoying laugh is NOT going to get less annoying over time."
