Boxed Set, Vol. II: "It's a Cookbook...A Cookbook!!"

A topic for the discussion of Farscape, Smallville, and Due South. Beware possible invasions of Stargate, Highlander, or pretty much any other "genre" show that captures our fancy. Expect Adult Content and discussion of the Big Gay Sex.

Whitefont all unaired in the U.S. ep discussion, identifying it as such, and including the show and ep title in blackfont.

Blackfont is allowed after the show has aired on the east coast.

This is NOT a general TV discussion thread.

"In the equation E = mc⬧, c⬧ is a pretty big honking number." - Scola

it's still the world's worst remote.

Mine won't pause or fast-forward/rewind without skipping to the beginning of a chapter. Also, if you've paused it on the machine, you can't then unpause it with the remot.

I was charmed (albeit somewhat perplexed) by the fannish sensibility of many of the music choices -- it's like the director was trying to vid Canada. --loligo on the Olympic Opening Ceremonies

I have to whack mine on something solid before it works. I don't think that's part of the design, though.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I just downloaded a manual, and there's some completely non-intuitive functionality hidden on that thing. But mostly I'd ask for a good remote design to let me use it with my eyes closed, at least for the big stuff. This fails horribly. Even looking at it, I get the wrong buttons too often.

Ah, that's the wonder machine play-anything that everyone wanted to buy, including me. Pity about the remote.

Microsoft?

Ha! No. I think it's a Sony, but I can't remember for sure.

You always do this. We get tipsy, and you take advantage of my love of the scientific method.

The machine itself is great, but as ita says, it's the most non-intuituve remote ever.

eta: And I'll be dipped in shellac. The stop button thing works.

About SG-1 - I'm glad for the longer credit sequence again; I like it. My only teeny, tiny, little complaint is about the CG stargate turning at the very beginning. It's too fakey. I like the old shots of that.

And with that, Sci-fi Friday, yay!

Kiss me, my girl, before I'm sick.

Oooh, a mindfuck episode. BB had the crazy Crichton eyes in the teaser! Made me all nostalgic.
