Don't worry, we're sure to spot Faith first. She's like this cleavagy slut-bomb walking around 'Ooh, check me out, I'm wicked-cool, I'm five-by-five.'

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Heh. I snagged that shirtless pic for bestof as soon as I read tommyrot's post.

He looks...WB pretty. So that's a decent start. Not disturbing like the other guy who appeared on Smallville.

If I only had a brain...

Thanks for all the Highlander advice. The show is cheesy, but Adrian Paul is very very very (add another couple of verys) pretty.

ita, how convincing is the swordwork? He seems to do many more spins than sparring.

How much did I love their pulling the old "I'm not left-handed" trick in S1? Thiiiiiis much.

It's been a long while since I watched the swordfights, Betsy, but I remember them as impractical and showy, but in line with handfighting realism standards.

I question how much "my sword spins faster than yours" one would do when a duel to the death impends.

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

I saw this duo at DragonCon this year:

Crossed Swords

They demonstrate stunt fighting techniques and make affectionate fun of several common tricks that look really cool on camera but would be really stupid in an actual fight. Highlander was mentioned more than once.

Wasn't that the one where he said that a lot of the fancy moves they do (on Highlander, and I swear on SGA with the stick fighting) are essentially baton-twirling skills?

Yep. That twirly move that Adrian Paul is so fond of, which presents no actual threat to an opponent.

Sheppard is really fond of the twirly move.

Yes, this revelation has me giggling at my desk.
