You know what they say about payback? Well I'm the bitch.

"It didn't taste good. It tasted soooo horrible. It tasted like....a vodka martini." - Matilda

I am DX. It was more stupid than Lost in Space, as improbable as that seems.

If I only had a brain...

Well, stupid doesn't always keep me from watching a show. (Says the erstwhile Andromeda watcher). Especially when I was a kid. I just thought the leads were hot, even as I snarked at the moon flying through space all by its lonesome.

Eh, I was maybe eight? All space shows were cool to me at that age, I'm pretty sure. I'm not thinking I would have the same reaction to it today, but at the time? Very cool.

This is me. Hell, I loved Lost in Space too.

My favorite space show as a kid (aside from Trek), though, was also one of my first experiences in traumatic cancellation: QUARK.

We won't go into that "I said 'lunch' not 'launch'!" show.

Whoa, speaking of traumatic cancellations and sci-fi, I wonder if this is true: [link]

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

That would be nifty.

Weird article about SciFi Friday. Doesn't actually have a point that I can see, other than letting the writer show off how much TV he watches.

We are Buffistas. This isn't our first apocalypse. -- Pix

Oh, man, I loved Quark. "Bee, bee, bee, bee, bee!"

So entirely silly. A show before its time.

Days shrink and grow cold, sunlight through leaves is my song. Winter is long.

The Bettys, to Ficus: Plant!

I... I feel like a have a huge, gaping hole in my pop culture knowledge. What is QUARK? I'll go google now...

ETA: Hmmm. No, I don't think I was aware of it. The Ficus thing sounds familiar, but I could just be making that up.

Richard Benjamin (Love at First Bite, Goodbye, Columbus) played Captain Quark, of an intergalactic garbage scow, with a madcap crew of wacky individuals. And clones. "She is. No, SHE is."
