Boxed Set, Vol. II: "It's a Cookbook...A Cookbook!!"

A topic for the discussion of Farscape, Smallville, and Due South. Beware possible invasions of Stargate, Highlander, or pretty much any other "genre" show that captures our fancy. Expect Adult Content and discussion of the Big Gay Sex.

Whitefont all unaired in the U.S. ep discussion, identifying it as such, and including the show and ep title in blackfont.

Blackfont is allowed after the show has aired on the east coast.

This is NOT a general TV discussion thread.

You always do this. We get tipsy, and you take advantage of my love of the scientific method.

The visuals are wonderful, but I don't care about a single character on BSG (well, maybe Starbuck), and the entire Caprica subplot seems a waste of time.

Apollo and Baltar needs to be thrown out the airlock.

If I want to become a cloud of bats, does each bat need a separate vaccination?

Apollo and Baltar needs to be thrown out the airlock.

Hey! There will be no spacing of the hotness!

I ended up caring more about Apollo than I thought I would. I really like Roslin. And Billy. Not fond of the Caprica storyline either. Thoroughly enjoy the Balter/Six stuff that I know some people find eye-rolly. Like Adama.

I see the potential for some interesting storylines and for the characters to grow on me. But, no, nothing compared to the almost immediate love I had for the SG-1 team.

Our wings are not tired.

Apollo and Baltar needs to be thrown out the airlock.

Not my favs either. I have a bit more hope for the Caprica subplot as it applies to the faulty Cylon model.

This is a lot of it for me. I don't have the instant gratification that I had with SG-1.

I'm still watching BSG, which says a lot.

Apollo used his position as Starbuck's commander to harass her about her choice of sexual partner. He should at least be sent off to the prison ship. Would Apollo in chains suit your requirements?

"In the equation E = mc⬧, c⬧ is a pretty big honking number." - Scola

Poor vw. I kept laughing quite loudly when watching SG-1. Like when they had the discussion of what to call the ship, and when I saw Kawalsky

Hee. And of course when Daniel assured Jack that he had the address to get them back home.

"I'm useless alone." // "We're all useless alone. It's a good thing you're not alone."

Hey, no touchie the Apollo! We will keep him around for his arms, which were much to be admired in that first scene. Rrrrowr.

I hope Roslin feels good about making Baltar the VP now. No matter how you slice it, I find it almost unforgivable that she put him in that position of power, knowing her days are numbered. Other than that, bah. I still want to like the show. There's a lot I admire about it. But so much of it just doesn't work.

Atlantis: It's a cliffhanger? CRAP. No one told me it was a cliffhanger. Now I have to worry for months, and I really like just about everyone on that show. Rodney's face, when he realized what Sheppard was doing. Man.

I've been working on a song about the difference between analogy and metaphor.

But does she have independent reality? It seemed last week like maybe she did.

It's deliberately unclear whether there really is a chip or Baltar is hallucinating; we have no solid evidence either way. For what it's worth, I was firmly of the former opinion during the miniseries and have moved over to the latter during the series.

The failure of everyone around him to realize that Baltar is (a) terribly sleazy; and (b) completely nuts is quite possibly my biggest beef with the show after the major worldbuilding issues.

I think the only way I can deal with Roslin's decisions over the past couple of weeks is to assume that the drugs are messing with her brain.

Was that the scene where you could see them flexing as he punched Starbuck for sleeping with another man?

He's gone beyond being just a dick.
