A mother-and-son pair of giant squid threaten a tiny New England fishing village.
Could it be a modern-day retelling of Beowulf?
Buffy ,'Lessons'
A topic for the discussion of Farscape, Smallville, and Due South. Beware possible invasions of Stargate, Highlander, or pretty much any other "genre" show that captures our fancy. Expect Adult Content and discussion of the Big Gay Sex.
Whitefont all unaired in the U.S. ep discussion, identifying it as such, and including the show and ep title in blackfont.
Blackfont is allowed after the show has aired on the east coast.
This is NOT a general TV discussion thread.

tommy - are you going to be watching Manticore ?
It sounds like fun. Half-lion, half-dragon - what's not to love?
Also, since it deals with soldiers in Iraq, it'd totally crack me up if it got into the politics of the conflict. I kinda' doubt it, though.
YES!
Isn't the SciFi channel the best cable channel ever?
Could it be a modern-day retelling of Beowulf?
Beosquid!
Strictly speaking, in should be "Beowulf vs. Grendelsquid and Grendelsquid's Mother". Also, there should be mead. And alliteration.
They have blurbs for a bunch of the Sci-Fi "originals" here: [link] Snakehead Terror will be on again in December! And coming soon:
Caved In: Prehistoric Terror (Premieres Jan. 7)
A family of extreme adventurers, working in Romania as cave guides, is lured into an underground trap by thieves who plan to rob the local caverns of precious gems. A sudden cave-in traps the family members in different areas — and also unleashes a nest of deadly, prehistoric rhinoceros beetles. Christopher Atkins (TV's Dark Realm, The Blue Lagoon) and Colm Meaney (Miles O'Brien on Star Trek: The Next Generation and Star Trek: Deep Space Nine) star in this subterranean thrill-ride.
Spoiler-tagged because it's fun to play fill-in-the-blank.
Colm Meaney???? God, he deserves better.

Heh. Thanks.
My first reaction was to go with "unleashes a nest of Sleestak...."
Colm Meaney???? God, he deserves better.
No kidding. He's been in a lot of solid films, if not exactly blockbusters (outside of CON AIR). I guess character actors need to pay the bills too.
Character actors take bad roles and giggle all the way to the bank. See: Charles Durning. And, God knows, Tim Curry.
And, God knows, Tim Curry.
but Tim Curry always transforms a role. He makes it worthy of him. I mean, even Annie, he was great.
