A topic for the discussion of Farscape, Smallville, and Due South. Beware possible invasions of Stargate, Highlander, or pretty much any other "genre" show that captures our fancy. Expect Adult Content and discussion of the Big Gay Sex.

We are Buffistas. This isn't our first apocalypse. -- Pix

So we know about SGA being the fandom of the crackaddled AUs. Well, it's also become the fandom of the crackaddled crossovers.

Ladies and gents, I give you Where Did All the Physics Go?, an SGA-Star Trek TOS crossover. [link] Funniest damn thing I've read in months.

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

Oh, man, Michael Piller died. Such a shame.

That's too bad.

Can anyone confirm Supernatural was a re-run last night? The online cable guide said it was, but I didn't think to stop my DVD to check until it was too late last night.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

It was the one with the little boy who drowned and killed people with water -- Amy Acker in the bath tub.

"Cry havoc and let slip the boobs of war!" -- Miracleman

No big surprise here! Various media sources have confirmed that Battlestar Galactica is being renewed for a third season. The science fiction remake began as a miniseries two years ago but was expanded into a television series after meeting with acclaim and impressive ratings. Galactica continues to be the Sci Fi Channel's top shows week after week. In fact, 7 of the channel's top 10 most-watched broadcasts in 2005 were episodes of Galactica. With the renewal, the new Galactica will surpass the episode count of the original. In the meantime, the show is preparing to resume its second season this January after a mid-season break.

Honey, it was filmed in Australia and shown on cable. You have no idea what all you'll see on camera. Heh.

Not only that, but if you have a squick, Farscape will probably ping it at one point or another. Heh.

I didn't doubt it would, but the episodes so far have seemed so ridiculously self-contained (like, they start out in some place and I have no clue how they got there and something catastrophic is happening, and ta da, you have an A plot), I was wondering whether I could, you know, miss them and still follow.

I do have to say that Farscape did often start episodes in the middle of action that wasn't necessarily where the last episode left off. Also, there's not a lot of down time during the show - character stuff comes out in the action, and not usually in "life on Mora" bits.

By the way, haven't seen anybody mention it here - did folks know that AMERICAN GOTHIC had been released on DVD, including never aired episodes?

Thrive to spite them

Dad and I are watching Farscape together and I figured, well, I don't want him to see stuff from one particular episode, but I've been watching more Farscape vids and I keep thinking...damn there's a lot more stuff I don't want to watch with dad.

I mean, Dad didn't like Firefly because of Inara.

So I'm gonna go out on a limb and say that muppet sex is probably out?
